Really excited to see that ENB are bringing back Bausch's Rite of Spring as part of what looks like a really interesting triple bill next year. www.ballet.org.uk/production/she-persisted/ Can't wait to see it again. Fingers crossed this is the start of a larger collaboration and they can put on more Bausch pieces.

Went to see this last night. Didn't really enjoy the Frida Kahlo piece, Broken Wings, although the design was impressive but really enjoyed Stine Quagebeur's Nora and of course the riveting Rite Of Spring. Bonus being able to watch the stage hands prepare the stage for the latter in the second interval. They got a huge round of applause for their mass soil raking.

Wow, I thought this triple bill was simply fantastic.
Broken Wings definitely felt a little long, but I still enjoyed it as a whole. Nora was also great too, but the standout for the night was definitely Rite of Spring: moving, exciting, unnerving, beautiful. Wow, I can't wait to see it again. And I definitely agree about the setting of the stage (putting down and levelling the soil). I felt this approach really built anticipation, and increased the feeling of ritual in a way that doing it behind a curtain simply wouldn't have.
I'm glad that ENB are bringing back Akram Khan's Giselle later in the year. Can't wait.
