I have no idea who Ryan is, but I don't think I have ever seen a white guy play John. Interesting. He's currently Collins on the UK Tour of Rent, been getting a lot of great reviews for it and rightly so, he is amazing!

Ryan is such brilliant casting!!! Well thanks. I'm going to try my best. I did audition for Kim but they felt this part was more "appropriate". Noel Edmonds has been giving me some helicopter lessons too so I'm all set really.

Is John a big role, because it is the most exciting part of the casting for me thus far? *I've never seen Miss Saigon, but Ryan has given me the urge, based on talent and looks (yes, I'm shallow). It's certainly not a huge role like Kim/Engineer but he has a solo as the act 2 opener and is in a lot of the major scenes so it's still fairly big

Not very memorable, must be said, but I'm sure she will be great.
Ryan is still the most exciting of the news thus far.

Doesn't even seem worth it lol unless it's a warm up for her taking over from Rachelle on Broadway ? That's around when she would be leaving for Hamilton...

Ryan should be great. The rest I'm not too fussed about but willing and hopeful to be proved wrong. Saw Sooha and Marsha in the London run and found them to be very 'understudy'

I would imagine that they probably wanted Na-Young Jeon but maybe she had prior commitments at the start of the run.

John Partridge I think has played it on a UK tour. John Partridge played Chris in the first tour. Unfortunately. I just shuddered at the memory...Horrific white boy soul riffs and over emoting...spoilt it big time for me, and I have avoided him ever since.

Okay, I thought I wasn't that fussed about seeing the tour, since I've seen the London production and both previous UK tours, then they announced Ryan. Oh dear.

Wow, I mean, I love me some Ryan, but this tour seems a whole lot more exciting for a lot of people now!

I have all the tickets I can get for Leicester & Birmingham it was only when Vinny was cast in it now Ryan. In all fairness I knew he was in it for a few days because of the full cast rehearsal photo they posted. There was Ryan sitting next to Zoe. The he turned up in the background of various cast memebers instagram stories.

I've just booked tickets to see this. It won't make up for me missing the final performance in London but it might ease the pain a little.

It's been on my to do list for some time but now the full cast has been announced it has given me a push. I've never sat in the Donald Gordon before, so it will be another theatre to tick off the list, too.

Great sightlines apart from a few ill judged railings and fantastic customer service.

John Partridge I think has played it on a UK tour. John Partridge played Chris in the first tour. Unfortunately. He may have done, but he has also played John. He played John opposite Ramin Karimloo's Chris on the UK Tour (around 2005/6). I saw it in Birmingham.

Booked. Going nice and close to the front this time. When I saw it in London the lighting was that dim I spent most of the time squinting to make out what was going on, and that was from mid-stalls! God knows what was visible from the gods, must have been like looking into a coal-hole. It's all very well being atmospheric but if you can't see properly there's not much point.

I saw it twice in the gods and once from row B of stalls. The view in the gods wasn't too bad, it was nice to see the action across the whole stage. Row B was good as it felt like you were part of the action (including the male pole dancer right next to me in the Bangkok scene)

Er, you had remembered to take your sunglasses off before the show started, BB? Don't be silly monkey, these babies NEVER come off. I might get recognised!
