Joe, Lauren and Stacey have given me zero entertainment this year.
When Chris Hollins won that was purely on the entertainment factor, fair enough, as apart from the Charleston he didn't really get particularly high marks. This year Joe and Stacey, who are similar level dancers have been getting 10s just for turning up.

Lauren danced better last night so the dance off wasn't hard to call> Lauren must have been in top two in Public Vote last week and high this week.
The killer dance off could be any combo not featuring Lauren and possibly Joe. A lot could depend on dear old Shirley!
The bookies have Stacey as odds on to win and Joe as a clear 2nd favourite, everyone else is an outsider they clearly don't see Lauren as a contender.
Last year fellow Paralympian Jonnie Peacock went to week 9 with an average weekly score of 25.77. This year Lauren is still in after week 11 with an average score of 26.60. So the two Paralympians have achieved roughly similar scores but I would have classed Jonnie as much higher profile than Lauren so might have achieved a bigger vote.

Lauren could have been third in the public vote last week and still avoided the dance off.
It is a bit puzzling why she has lasted longer than Johnnie Peacock, I assume it's the AJ factor.

Or perhaps people just seem to like her? She seems a bit of a sweetheart, she has a lovely chemistry with AJ and she's clearly trying hard and has improved over the period of the show.

Should he beat them in a dance off or in the competition as a whole? Absolutely, yes. Same goes for Lauren and Stacey. Absolutely not as far as I'm concerned!

Faye v Ashley would see Faye saved. Ashley would probably only be saved against Lauren. More interesting would be Stacey v Joe - couldn't call that one. I think the judges would save Ashley over anyone except Faye. They're desperate for her to be in the final.

Ashley & Pasha vs Charles & Karen Charles & Karen Out 5th time unlucky for Charles - but he was never going to survive that one Ashley cannot win this Lauren can...which would be a travesty You are making the mistake of seeing it as a dancing competition, its not.

It is if people want it to be - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, which is all that oxfordsimon was stating. I'm sick of people trying to tell others they're not allowed to care about the dancing because it's an "entertainment" show. For some of us good dancing is entertainment, and if I think it's a shame that the best dancer won't win then it's entirely my prerogative to both think and say that...

If the dancing didn’t matter then it would just be a dress up and look nice and chat with new friend competition. I like the little in between items they sometimes do on Take Two about the different dances and the 'demos' in the interviews plus the critiques by people who know. I don’t like the panel on Take Two of wannabees and wannabees agains who know nowt. But I would like more on the dancing.

wowsers! Its NOT a dance competition, if it was there would be no viewer vote and the judges would decide. Its an entertainment show that is based around dancing, in the same way that X-Factor is an entertainment show based around singing. You can say and think what you want, NOONE but you mentioned that they weren't allowed to care about the dancing. So stop seeing things that aren't there. You are making the mistake of seeing it as a dancing competition, its not. It is if people want it to be - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, which is all that oxfordsimon was stating. The ties on the judges votes pulls all the points they give to be added to the public vote together. Not sure what your point is but Ashley had 6 points from the judges last week and if she was bottom with the public she would have got 1 point so 7 overall. As Lauren got 2 points from the judges she only needed 5 points from the public, so third with the public, to beat Ashley as public votes are the decider in a tie.

Here we go:
Lauren & AJ vs Ashley & Pasha
Lauren & AJ leaving.
The just result
A&P are clearly at the bottom of the voting - and stand no chance of winning

I personally thought Ashley was wayyy overmarked tonight. In my opinion, Faye should win, but I think Stacey will.

We have a final where 3 out of the 4 have not faced a dance off
And 1 has faced the final 3 of the season
I am not sure we have enough evidence to work out how the public are actually voting between Faye, Joe and Stacey.
Faye is the best dancer Joe has improved the most (being the most uncoordinated to start with) Stacey has had an impressive journey but I just can't take to her (mainly because of Kevin but also because of her personality which just puts me off a bit)

It was obvious from week 1 that Ashley was never going to win - the best dancer hasn't won for many years. It's really Strictly Come Entertainment-That-Sometimes-Resembles-Ballroom-Or-Latin-Dancing.
By the same token, Faye won't win either, it'll be Stacey (most likely) or Joe.
Anyway, I won't be wasting my time watching the final - this year has been so underwhelming that I don't think any of them deserve to win. Compared to some of the brilliance of previous years the show is now a shadow of its former self, in more ways than one, and tonight has made me realise that I really am done with it - the dancing is so lacking that it's not entertaining in the slightest anymore for me.

Faye moans constantly about how much pain she's in, which is not very voter friendly. Stacey and Joe just grin and get on with it. Both of Joe's dances tonight were bloody awful, while Stacey did well over all, but I think it's between those two. Ashley and Faye only stand a chance of winning if their show dance is so amazing that everyone is stunned, and that hasn't happened for quite a few years now.

Joe's dances poor. But he has all those fans. Ashley no fans. Sad. But she has still done a good audition for a west end show. Or a tv talent show...or something. The others will continue in their careers. Would be surprised to see Joe take a dancing role in anything. Lauren has had a nice media training for future commentating roles and maybe with kids. (AJ has really put himself up there with the 'personalities) Faye comes across very well as a normal person so maybe daytime tv...travel programme?

Just a few random comments on the music, which gets stranger and stranger! I thought both Joe's dances were seriously sabotaged by unsuitable music and his dancing skills were insufficient to overcome the disadvantage caused by the music; the orchestra managed to make 'La Cumparsita' sound almost unrecognisable for Faye and Giovanni; and the so-called Viennese Waltz to 'You're my world' for Stacey and Kevin didn't feel remotely like a Viennese Waltz (Craig commented obliquely on that).
Oh well, just the final now to come next week to bring to an end a seriously disappointing series and I really don't much care who wins, even though I will still watch it – old habits die hard!

Faye has done a fair amount of musical theatre over the years and will likely get more roles off of this around the Steps work. Joe will surely get mainstream TV work off this too - why not tap into his several million fans!
I'd be interested in the demographic who will vote for Stacey to get her ahead of Joe and even Faye.

The only way you could get me to vote for Stacey is if it would guarantee Kevin retiring from Strictly... A couple of Pros retired as champions but I think BBC would want Kevin back for one more year at least especially if Anton finished. Kevin can do his other shows around Strictly.
