Anyone watching?
I had to watch episode one in two parts and it did induce some twitchy rocking (I really don't like blood) in me but this looks like it could be great. Fiona Shaw is just being wonderful, Sandra Oh was always one of my favourite things about Grey's Anatomy so tick, David Haig, hurrah and Jodie Comer part terrifying, part very funny. Just as well the nights are drawing in as there's rather a lot to watch at the moment.

I'm watching and, much as I love all the actors, I am hating it more and more as each episode progresses and am struggling to finish it. It's just so bizarre. Sort of glamourising killing in a weird way. And (not really a spoiler, but will use tags in case anyone's over-sensitive) 3 assassins parked up in a village, loading giant guns from the boot of a car and no one noticing out of their twitchy British net curtains? Oh perleeze! No one walking dogs where all that chasing and shooting took place? In fact, whenever anything happens there doesn't seem to be anyone else around. It's just all a bit too silly for me. I spent the first couple of episodes wondering if I loved it or hated it. By the end of the third I knew which way I was leaning. Really disappointing. And there's really only one way for it all to end - if I make it that far. I think I have a couple of episodes to go. But I might just have an urgent tax return to re-do in my best handwriting instead.

I've seen all of it and it's the best thing on TV this year (IMO). Phoebe Waller-watserface is genius. Her humour undercuts the gore. I guess you have to like the fact that it's either totally tongue in cheek or deadly deadly with nothing in between. It's one of those series that oozes with it's own confidence
And the acting is top notch.
Pushed all my buttons.

So far enjoyable but one or two quibbles. The scarf thing clunky and interestingly used in Mick Herron's novella. And ok, so the killer is leaving dna all over the place, CCTV does exist in most cities, going after a killer unarmed into unknown place is daft and a waste of great actor, the usual tensions between a married couple....but there you go.

Just finished it.
The most I’ve enjoyed a TV show in ages. Proper binged it. Brilliant performances from Sandra Oh and Jodie Camer. Such an interesting story arch - I didn’t expect the twists and it’s conclusion.
Highly recommended.

4 episodes in. Now I'm over the stereotyping (British Mi5 Vs Russian Serial Killer Vs Chinese dark side) I'm enjoying it. The right amount of humor in it and it's got a good pace to it.

I'm a bit worried because it's a different writer. Fingers crossed.

I really enjoyed it. It doesn't take itself seriously (unlike the equally silly but very po-faced Night Manager) and has the vim of early Sherlock before it went up itself.

Love love loved it ! One of the best things I've seen on TV for ages and what a performance from Jodie Comer-she should win a hat full of awards for her portrayal
Roll on season 2

Has Jodie ever done stage acting? Would love to see her as Rosalind or (more likely) Lady M...

I enjoyed it to some extent, it was watchable enough to get through to the end. But it also really irritated me, especially most of the scenes involving the assassin character as I found her, and the interactions with her handler (but mostly her) intensely annoying. I was conflicted for other reasons too - yes PWB has a great touch with dialogue and a lot of the writing was indeed very good. But at times it seemed awfully pleased with itself. It was also way too long, 8 episodes was just daft. And I was peeved by it going into another series. I feel like I've got it now - it was quite good overall but a 'one and done' for me.
My absolute favourite moment came in the first ep - David Haig's character, on being dismissed by boss Frank in a meeting along with Eve, as they're halfway out of the room, he pauses and - "Just to be absolutely clear - " FRANK: Yes, you're fired too "Excellent, excellent".
Anyone other than Haig and I'm sure I wouldn't find it so funny.

Yes, completely (along with all your other caveats). One of the biggest disappointments of the whole series for me. I actually kind of resented the programme a bit, because of that!

Are you saying that they shouldn't have hired Haig or worse still he should not have auditioned or are you saying they should have rewrote the screen play once David Haig had been cast?

Very sad he didn't last longer but he was just sublime so I'll take what we got.

I’ve seen Series 2 up to Episode Six (in Spain). No spoilers. I was going to say something comparing it to Series 1 but I know some people will jump on me for that so I won’t. Can’t wait for other people to discuss it with.

My opinion is series two is a slow starter. Bear with the first two episodes. They’re not bad but there’s better to come after.
