Ah interesting! Wasn't aware of that. that tour was (mercifully) cancelled (obviously sad for the talented folks who lost their jobs, but it looked dreadful!) so he could be free now... you mean we wont get the life-sized hologram of Pauline Quirke as promised?!

Any news on the rest of the tour casting yet or who is replacing Amber and co when they go out on tour. The tour opens in just over 6 weeks so rehearsals wouldn't be that far away from starting. Would they all be rehearsed as one group initially I wonder and then split off to work with the existing cast members who are remaining in West End run or going out on tour.

I was so looking forward to winning my £3000 given away at each show - the statement that wasn’t on the forefront of every advertisement.

Heard they were trying to get The Hoff to replace Brain Conley over Christmas! Yep. He’s doing it.

Did anyone see the UK tour a few years back, and can compare these two productions?

Did anyone see the UK tour a few years back, and can compare these two productions? They are different productions, new set, costumes, new book, choreo, even a couple of new songs.

Is the rush reasonably easy for this? It seems to have been over the past few weeks when I’ve been checking but maybe it will get busier now with the summer holidays? I was looking at rushing for a Wednesday matinee sometime in August. Thanks.

TOUR CAST:
Laura Tyrer playing Violet when Louise & Caroline are not. Georgina Castle playing Doralee Sean Needham (currently Franklin understudy in London) playing Franklin. Lucinda Lawrence (currently Margaret/understudy Violet in London) playing Roz.
Lots of the London company going on tour so looks like there will be quite a big cast change for London.

Saw this tonight - perfectly entertaining evening out! Nothing special, but worth the £25 rush ticket (got Row F, Dress Circle - fantastic view). Sean Needham was on for Franklin - very good indeed, I enjoyed his performance a lot and can see why he's been given the role on tour. Would've enjoyed Brain Conley I'm sure, though I have a suspicious he very much would've been playing 'Brian Conley as Franklin Hart Jnr', if that makes sense. Amber Davies also off, was more gutted to miss her but not all that bothered. Rhiane Drummond had a brilliant singing voice but she was one of the worst actresses I have ever seen on stage, it really detracted from the evening. Bonnie Langford, Caroline Sheen and Natalie McQueen all incredible. Audience lapped it up - the use of Dolly was a fun, if not slightly weird, theatrical device.
