Shakespeare is robust I know but they are going to weigh this play down with issues- black representation on the stage, women's representation, post Windrush and Brexit. Too much, too much. Let Shakespeare do the work and maybe choose a play better suited to this heavy overlay, like Measure for Measure or Cymbeline. Ok, I suppose proof of the pudding....

It’s a very static long wordy play though, I feel you’ve got to do *something* with it.

It’s a very static long wordy play though, I feel you’ve got to do *something* with it. Well, they certainly are. That is OK though because this particular play is very rarely set anywhere other than in period. The Spacey one was a rare departure.
