It surely can’t be the Christmas advert? It’s only September.

It is to launch the new branding - John Lewis and Partners and Waitrose and Partners.

I haven't seen it yet and now I'm wondering what it's about. "Buy all your Christmas supplies from John Lewis or we'll stamp on this sack of kittens"?

I saw it & thought "What the hell is this an advert for?" What has it got to do with them?

I'm honestly a little disappointed they didn't just do the entire song. If you're going to go big, then you should go BIGGG.

Not seen the advert but have to say my first choice of shop is John Lewis as I find their knowledge and service is second to none.

twitter.com/johnlewis"Computer science educator, father of four, social liberal, atheist, and not a retail store." Always fun to read his Twitter account around Christmas.

It's going to get worse now that the John Lewis store Twitter account is no longer @johnlewisretail and is now @jlandpcustserv. How on EARTH is a disgruntled customer meant to find *that* easily?

I spend a lot of time between matinee & evening shows killing time in whatever is the nearest John Lewis. If you want haberdashery they're the only high street option.

I saw it the other night and formed the opinion it was over blown and irritating even before I knew who it was for.

Come guys! Am I the only one who likes it? I think it's hilarious!!
I also shop at John Lewis, great value for money and It's got a reputation for looking after its employees, if only more companies did the same...

It was a bit long. Maybe they will show bits of it once we are pulled in.

Just saw it for the first time. I thought it was quite fun. Beats adverts for cars or meercats.

I never understand or enjoy John Lewis adverts (although I quite like the shop) but jeez, this one's my least favourite yet. As if Bohemian bloody Rhapsody wasn't awful enough without adding children into the mix.

I saw it last night and thought it was rather good. The fact I can remember seeing it says loads, as tv ads normally go in one eye and out the other.
However, I do feel sorry for all the teachers amongst our membership, for whom the bar has now been set impossibly high!

I think Bohemian Rhapsody is one of those songs where, as a teenager, you think "Wow, that's so deep" and it takes a while before you realise that "deep" is not the same thing as "weird and incomprehensible".

Bohemian Rhapsody is a bit like Monty Python - not too awful in itself but made utterly unbearable by decades of people "doing" it after a few drinks.
