I was out this evening and can't be bothered with the results show. Right two went. They were never going to hack it.
Surprised that the two girls were bottom 3. I thought they would have the tween vote sorted.
I do kind of miss the old format of more lives and a slower process. You got to know them a bit more. This does feel very rushed.

The X Factor contract is very strict and still comes into effect after the programme has finished, so I doubt it. The show finishes not after the X Factor does, so I think he'll be done with BOOH.

So the fact that he still appears as cast member on the website might be a strategy to attract X Factor viewers to the Dominion... Obviously he's not performing but some people will be tricked. |

Dalton is just getting better and better. He really is a class vocalist. I suspect there is a Jesus in JCS in him. I can hear him singing Gethsemane - possibly even to rival Balsamo...

Survivor - an utter mess. Out of time with their backing singers, pitching/shouting issues. They have reached the end of their road.

Maniac - no. Just no. Bad, bad arrangement. OTT stage presentation. Failing to impress vocally.

It was like The greatest Showman show tonight with 3 songs none hitting the mark. Shan's version of Never Enough was not a patch on Loren Allred's. Not a great week really.

I'm watching on catch-up.
So far, Gio, Dalton and Scarlet have given strong performances. I can't help thinking that putting three of the four best vocalists (Shan being the other one) on at the beginning is a bad idea. Oh, it appears that next up is Brendan! From the sublime to the squeaky!
Brendan - is like a young Eoin McLove (from 'Father Ted'). No doubt the old ladies of Craggy Island are clogging up the phone lines (and breaking the voting app) as we speak! He seems like a nice lad with a sweet voice, but he doesn't exactly scream Pop Star to me.
A & A - Someone decided to take inspiration from Maria Von Trapp by making their outfits (and those of their dancers) from curtains! More lively than Brendan, and thankfully they're singing this week,though their rapping last week had more sass.
Bella - She has an interesting voice, but this is the wrong song for her. It doesn't help that the spoken intro seemed more like it should be leading into 'This Is Me', not this song. I think Bella would have been better swapping songs with Scarlet.
Misunderstood - I'm not sure that I understand them. The backing lacked oomph and I wasn't overkeen on the arrangement. Also, why is the one in the hat dressed as a giant teabag?
Ayda is very shouty tonight!
Danny - The VT is a bit odd "I don't have any kids of my own, so I'm going to borrow someone else's for this VT!" Oh blimey, he's singing 'My Heart Will Go On', complete with epic key change! His voice is very nasal, and he always sounds as if he's got a sore throat.
Anthony - I'm disappointed he's not dressed as Rocky! Shouty and pitchy, though loads of passion. I think he's been binging on haribo, and this is the result!
Shan - The "I'm changing your song at the last minute!" VT! I like this song, but she does seem to be oversinging a bit in the latter part.
This weekend is yet another double eviction. It all seems so rushed, to the point where I'm struggling to remember anyone who went out before last week. I also don't like this thing of the person who is last in the voting not getting a chance to sing off. I can see that backfiring spectacularly if one of the stronger acts (Gio/Dalton/Scarlet/Shan) ended up being last in the voting!

If they had been allowed to sing their own material, they might have been better - but theme weeks don't suit them clearly.

And the One Direction fans who vote for Louis and his boys because Louis is one of their "babies" and they "hate seeing him getting manipulated on this sh*tshow". Yes, it's a sh*tshow, but if it wasn't for it, they would never have heard of their "babies". The constant catty remarks they post about other contestants are pretty disrespectful too.

I'm so glad Gio is gone. Every moment of him on the show has just made me cringe, he really should of gone week one or two.
His whole vibe is just so aged and irrelevant right now and just his whole way of performing is just so cringe-worthy for me. The faces he pulls and the way he screams through, I can't.

They couldn't have sent eliminated all of Robbie's acts without him actually being present. When the girls fell into the bottom 2 again, it was clear they would be saved so that it could continue to be a four category competition.
I can't believe Tetley is still there. His voice is getting worse - and it didn't start from a good place.

I loved Gio, I've been brought up listening to music with people who sound like him and I would rather listen to him every week than the two other girls. I'm not surprised they were saved though, they are much more current .
At least he has a job to go back to next week!

Yes Gio's vocal was far superior to the 2 girls. It may be current but it really is not proper music in my eyes.Where will 'songs' like that be in 20 years time. Nowhere that is the simple answer.

Question regarding Giovanni, and I guess I'll post it here as he is more well known for this than Bat to the general public... has Gio had work done? Like plastic surgery or something? There has always been something about him that looks somewhat plastic? His lips and his cheeks I think, and the way he always poses in photos. I'm genuinely curious, I don't mean to be rude if it comes across as that.  |

Big Band week - never really a good idea when you have artists who have no idea how to perform in that style.
Shan really didn't have the pipes to sustain Summertime. It was very shouty and clearly pitchy at the end.
