Dermot, the judges, and contestants will be completely unaware of any issues. It'll be an ITV broadcasting problem more than anything I bet.

But they could easily get word to the studio and take appropriate action.

Adverts are fine - so it is the live broadcast that is at fault.

Shame - as we need these awful Thriller vocals hiding...

DS board claiming that tonight's show was recorded earlier - so that is why they couldn't address it during the show.
However ITV should never have let it be broadcast in that form. It should have been sorted in some way.
Unacceptable

Gio's musical theatre roots will do him good here I think.

They have ripped this song to pieces to try to make it work - and it really doesn't. There isn't enough to sing.
He did his best with an awful arrangement

Voting cancelled. It will open tomorrow night.
Best they could do under the circumstances

I’ve just had a message pop up saying that the vote has been called off due to technical issues. It’s only fair on the two guys affected by the tech issues.

Why haven't they paused the show until this is resolved? It makes no sense to carry on when they are placing certain contestants at a massive disadvantage. Tonight's show isn't live, it was recorded earlier in the day (to accommodate Robbie Williams having to catch a flight during the evening). Ooh, just noticed the message onscreen now about the vote being cancelled until tomorrow. Good, it would have been a farce to expect the public to vote on two performance where there were sound issues.

I still don't understand why they didn't pause the broadcast, sort out the sound (which was clearly recorded properly) and then carry on

Apparently it was prerecorded to allow Mr Williams to catch his flight as he's going on tour in South America. They could have put up an error message saying "due to technical issues, tonight's broadcast of The X Factor has been paused. Please bear with us as we try to rectify these problems."

Shan is oversinging now. She is good. But she has an over inflated sense of how good she is- meaning she is just coming over as over-intense and somewhat arrogant. No likeability factor there at all. Dalton is a more complete package. Shan was way OTT in her singing. I was longing for one of the judges to pull her up on that, but they didn't. There's no need to sing every song like it's a power ballad, or stick unnecessary riffs in (Shan did both) - The Sound Of Silence is one song where riffing should never be attempted!

The sooner that Danny Tetley gets back to singing at his local social club the better. Perhaps they’ll let him call the bingo too. And the “my auntie died last year” stuff. Absolutely dreadful.

Apparently, according to betting odds at least, Giovanni or Danny are the favourites to go this weekend. I'd me more than happy to see either of them go. Bye Felicia.

So who are we expecting to leave?? United Vibe. 100%. Flat, off-key vocals and a boring production design. They'll be instantly out. Sing off Danny v Gio with Danny eliminated. Ayda will most likely abstain from voting if that's the case.

Oh, Robbie is leaving? If you can't stay for the whole series, don't sign up.

Gio, Tetley and Brendan all through. Blimey.
Luckily, United Vibe out. A&A are not my cup of tea, but Molly is boring. I do think Molly has slightly more to give so would save her.

It's so interesting, because Gio was expected to be one of the first out. I'm fascinated by who is voting for him! I do get the sense the net is closing in though, he will likely be out in the next couple weeks if everyone is expecting him to be gone by now.

I’m on a couple of the Bat Facebook groups... and there seem to be a lot of people using multiple devices. Good for him though if it gives him some more exposure, especially as BOOH has only got 9 weeks left of its run!

Now that LMA are out, Anthony has the entire Merseyside vote, and now that Molly is out, Scarlet will have the young ballad girl category all to herself.
