People are a still travelling for tonight's show as there has been nothing on the shows official social media that it is cancelled. That is very poor communication. Must do better! They def shoulda said smtg on social media about tonight’s show cancellation (I guess that the matinee was so last min cancellation to do that) but tbf they’ve contacted people through the contact details they gave when booking (email and phone). The majority people going won’t even have social media accounts. That said, not sure why they waited until I think 5.30 to notify people, unless they were waiting as long as possible to see if Olivia could do the show or not .... which is def possible.

The official twitter has replied to a couple of people who have said they're travelling to the show tonight and saying it is cancelled. No mention of the songs tonight. Some fans would really like that. Not sure what the answer is but it's a bit of a mess.

Some fans would really like that. Not sure what the answer is but it's a bit of a mess. I guess they’re still working through the songs etc, but it’s at least it’s something for the people who are gonna show up not realising it’s been cancelled and then have no chance to go see something else! Someone else might know this, but doesn’t Leanne Pinder know the Jenna track also? Wondering if she might have been a possibility to go on.

Someone has created a fake Waitress Twitter account and is “apologising” to every single tweet complaining about the show being cancelled.

Who has that much free time on their hands?! If 2 years in the Wicked fandom taught me anything it’s that some people have a lot. *has flashbacks of Nutellagate and Microwavegate*

Things aren’t going well at Waitress today, are they? Friend is at Magic Goes Wrong at the Vaudeville. Apparently all theatres on the Strand have been evacuated due to a suspect package - Magic Goes Wrong has been cancelled; presuming other shows, including Waitress’ concert-style performance have been too?

I'm gagging at some of the responses - official or not this account is the most interesting thing that Waitress has had on social media. 😂

That's modern day theatre, you are not allowed to show any kind of disappointment when things are cancelled or go wrong or you are descended upon by the super fans, many of whom live locally and who can travel in whenever they wish.
If they were less entitled they'd realise not everyone has that luxury.

Oh dear... long story short, some crazy fans spent their spare time buying Nutella for an actress on her request. They got a big jar, then realised it was too big, so went back to get a travel size jar too. They then argued over who would DM the actress to tell her it had been delivered. As for the microwave, someone apparently gave a different actress a microwave as a gift at stage door.

There's being disappointed and there's saying stupid things like "shocking way to treat customers" though - it isn't the theatre's fault the cast are ill!

I'm loving some of those responses. Unfortunately some out there in the world are daft enough to believe they come from an official source

Desi Oakley from the US Tour will be covering all this weeks Jenna shows. Oh wow, interesting! Lucie, Sarah and Olivia must be pretty sick for them to have had to bring someone in to cover. Hope they feel better soon. Good for Desi to fill in at such short notice, especially when she hasn’t played Jenna for a while right?!

I've seen so much excitement about it. Is that because she's a big deal or just because she's known in the Waitress circles? I'd never heard of her?

How exciting! I have also managed to get a rush ticket for stalls row L and can't wait for a last minute trip to the diner in advance of the one I had planned to see Sara.

Desi is a great Jenna! I saw her a few times back in 2018 on the US Tour! She is also a former Elphaba cover and Eva Peron Alternate, the journey from her Elphaba debut to now is pretty exciting.
