I think this starts rehearsals next week and we still haven't had a cast announcement, leaving it a bit late! Though I guess that rules out any star casting as they would have used that to help ticket sales (which I imagine are a bit challenging).
I know a lot of the previous cast are busy doing other things so I imagine we will be mostly getting new faces, I don't suppose anyone has heard or seen anything?

I imagine they have spent a long time checking social media histories before making casting offers this time round.

Pretty much all new faces though it's interesting that Karen Mav is no longer playing Sofia but is alternate Celie with then just an ensemble track the rest of the time.

Trailer is up on YouTube for the new movie. Fantasia is in it which makes me really, really happy. Saw her in the original Broadway run and she was spine tingling. Getting goosebumps hearing her again. Can’t wait!!!!
