That works out as only just over 3 weeks of sold out performances, though! Doesn't bode well for the Brenda Edwards performances. Yes - still tickets to be had!

What in the world is this?! Tbh, its everything I thought it would be. They will throw in a few drones, iPhones and something about Trump and suddenly it's 2019... Jeez. Doesn't look good at all.

Sounds bizarre. Unless some people are right about it being flashbacks which would mean Jennifer and Whoopi not sharing the stage.

So is Brenda Edwards having to learn a new version of show, just to play a few matinees? or is the whole tour reinvented?
Given that alot of the songs have a very distinctive 70's sound, they can't get away from that. There's no way Whoopi can sing the score as it is. Maybe there will be a Flashback Delores to do all the heavy lifting. I rewatched the Broadway version yesterday and it is a great show. I liked the new songs and love I Haven't Got A Prayer.
The new marketing is awful.

The new marketing is awful. My understanding is that the touring production is a reimagined version of Sister Ac set in 2020 and starring Brenda Edwards, with Whoopi Goldberg filling her role at most or all Eventim Hammersmith dates. Jennifer Saunders is also AFAIK only appearing in London. Basically stunt casting, similar to that employed for Nativity at Hammersmith right now. I've booked it at the Curve in Leicester though I live in Kent and having seen Brenda Edwards' show stealing performance in White Christmas I'm really glad I made that choice. I paid £42 for a central stalls seat which would have cost almost four times as much at Hammersmith.

I think the last thing that said #CashIn in such an obvious way was when Elf wanted 250 quid for swathes of the Stalls.
Happy to be proven wrong but based on what we know so far there is literally nothing about this that appeals to me!

The marketing is tacky and horrible.
Booked to see Brenda on tour. At least she can sing.

I’m shocked no one is discussing the casting announcement of Mother Superior for the Edinburgh leg, I’d quote the tweet but I don’t know how on my phone....either way, Allan Stewart...in drag!
The show tweeted a video,

This really confused me. I thought it would be Elaine C Smith or someone similar. Edinburgh audiences love Allan as he's been the panto dame at the King's Theatre for almost 20 years, but I've never heard of a drag Mother Superior before! I'm certainly intrigued, so I'll be going.

This production just sounds worse and worse
Also a good job there are so many decent roles out there for older actresses otherwise this would be a real waste...

This is sounding like they're making the entire show into an absolute joke.

It's sounds horrendous, but imagine if we all go and see it and they've actually managed to pull off the impossible and it's the best thing we've ever seen?!
(Not gonna happen but we can dream, eh?)
