Although thank goodness it is due to drop: if it was staying up there I'd be on the first train to Scotland. I think we're about 10C below you here. It still feels too sultry to me!

We mustn't forget that today is Armed Forces Day. Imagine having to march in full uniform? I was at the parade in Doncaster and was very impressed with the way the 'ranks' are now looked after. I suspect it wasn't always that way.
All I have to do now is get back home. Although delayed, at least my train is still running. Half of those running to other destinations have been cancelled. Either the trains have failed, or the infrastructure has!

Today I feel like this tree, that apparently can't be bothered to tree any more.

I think we're about 10C below you here. It still feels too sultry to me! Yes but it's got to be better than down here! I've spent all day sitting indoors with the curtains drawn on the appropriate sides of the house & drunk goodness knows how much water but still have a headache. Due to still be 23 degrees at midnight so not anticipating getting much sleep. Damn you heat!

A family friend is in Paris and says it is unbearable... The weather or the City itself?

The South of France was pretty stifling today, much more humid than the last few days though I don't think it was actually any hotter. And obviously I managed to get sunburnt...
Flew back earlier to discover London is equally stifling, and my house is very much lacking in air con compared to my nice French hotel room...take me back to France please!

Thank goodness it's not as bad today, though still warmer than I'd like.
Wondering if I can sue a deceased mosquito for sexual harassment? This morning I discovered two large bites on my left breast. The presumed perpetrator met its maker at 4.20am, as soon as it was light enough to see to swat, but I didn't know then where it had bitten me!

Really feel sorry for people who suffer with the heat/humidity.Weather men/women always talk about the sunny weather as something to look forward to...but it’s a bit like Christmas/ New Years Eve...not everyone looks forward to it.

The weather in Scotland (namely Edinburgh area) has been very sporadic. We had the first day of the summer holidays yesterday and it started off sunny but then turned into thunderstorms though-out the afternoon and into the evenings.
Then today, it has been mainly cloudy but with an incredibly high pollen count, and I am struggling to cope due to my hay fever.

Oh, the mozzies will always get you in places that will 1. Be rubbed by clothes 2. Be hard to access once dressed for applying cream etc 3. Are not socially acceptable to touch/scratch in public
😡
Still, fingers crossed we won’t have so many horse flies this year - I’ve still got a scar from the horse fly bite that got infected last year.

I am a magnet for little black flies this afternoon. I know why - I am wearing a neon green top. I remember learning in biology lessons that certain colours attract insects.

If flies like yellow, our @theatremonkey must be a magnet. 🐵🍌 Still, it's nice to be popular!

Awfully warm yesterday & today. Last night I was bitten on my elbow & the bite has swelled up to over an inch across. Hate mozzies.

It's the UV more than the heat that bothers me at the moment. I took a break from work to go to the shops at 10:00 this morning so I could keep indoors in the middle of the day.
