I wonder what happened to her?! She was all the rage at one point!
I thought she was great. A quick Wikipedia glance shows she doesn't appear to have appeared in a musical since Evita on Broadway in 2013.
Perhaps she has abandoned that world and retreated back to Argentina.
Always thought she could have made a very interesting Norma Desmond in the future....

You might want to do a slightly less quick look at the Wikipedia, she was in LoveMusik in 2016 in Argentina, and Ay Carmela! the year before that. She's got a decent array of TV credits too going by the IMDb, so I presume yes, she has gone back to working primarily in Argentina.

OK. They aren't recognisable musicals though, are they? That's what I was mainly referring to.

Screeching cat is the only comparison I can think of. Her voice makes listening to either recording she appears on painful. Confused how she also got the Broadway gig.

I'd love to see her again. I didn't see her in Evita but she was glorious in both Piaf and Passion.

She seems to have done a certain amount of recording and concert work in Argentina since she played Evita on Broadway - two solo albums, and there are some live performances on youtube.
The albums - 'Vientos del Sur' and '3001' - are mostly in Spanish (there are a couple of English-language tracks on 'Vientos del Sur', including a cover of 'Every Breath You Take' in which she goes full Fatal Attraction bunny-boiler) and very Argentinian, and I rather like them (I have them both, you can find them quite easily as downloads on Amazon). This is fairly representative of what her solo recordings sound like:

According to the Spanish Wikipedia she is in a relationship with an Argentinian actor Mariano Torre and they had a baby daughter in September 2013 named Bahía. She doesn't seem to have done any theatre since the birth so perhaps she is just being an ordinary housewife and mother for the time being.

Apart from LoveMusik in 2016, and Ay Carmela in 2015? Those are definitely since 2013, are they not?

Of course but that info wasn't included in the Spanish wikipedia. Obviously we have to look at several different sites to get the whole picture these days.

She was incredible in Passion, as was the entire production at the Donmar.

She was great in 'Passion' and 'Piaf' I thought but thought she was utterly awful in 'Evita'. Sometimes her voice is like having your nails ripped off and having to listen to someone then scrape them down a blackboard and 'Evita' just emphasised that. 'Passion' and 'Piaf' fitted her like a glove.
But then I really liked the recent Broadway revival of 'Evita'. Elena was a little better than she was in the London production from years back but it was all about Ricky Martin. God love him, he's not what you'd call an "actor" but he was hot hot HOT. That sexy little moustache gave me all sorts of thrills.

She was incredible in Passion, as was the entire production at the Donmar. (Just to digress for a second) You are aware of the whole shooting 'incident' that took place right?
