How uninspired. As much as I'm a fan of Kerry, Rachel, Willemijn etc, I'd just love someone totally new to the show to have a crack full time at this.
Happy for those that are excited by this though.

Perhaps I'm a little sleep/Wicked deprived, but this news almost made me tear up. I ADORE Willemijn, and saw her twice in Wicked (I've only seen the show 4 times). Saw her a week before her departure last time and she was incredible. I am THRILLED that she's coming back. FINALLY I'll be visiting Wicked again. Not my favourite show at all but THAT VOICE is worth it.

I don't want to see Rachel leave either, but we knew she was only staying until January. She's done the role for a long time, so I don't think she'll ever return. We'll just have to see her now while we still can |

Slightly uninspiring casting - it's high time they got a new Elphaba in - but maybe this time I'll go and see what all the fuss is about.

As cast change is just after my birthday I thought it would be rude not to go to Willemijn's first performance back, loved her last time. Hope the crazies aren't too crazy

I wonder if Rachel was always planned short term as a tenth anniversary thing and if there was something agreed with Willemijn that if she became fit and wanted to return the door would be open
I do think come next September we will get a new Elphaba though.

Everywhere I look they're saying that she is staying until July. I don't know the exact date though.

I believe that 22nd July 2017 will be the last show for Willemijn (if she isn't staying), and for whoever else chooses to leave, Suzie and Oliver presumably.

Contracts of just under 11 months aren't unheard of, but I think it's mainly because they have two 9 show weeks in August that are big money makers for them, and it's inconvenient having to juggle cast change around them. Obviously it's not ideal for a new cast to begin with a 9 show week, hence why there was no October half-term Thursday matinee in Jenny's first week, and similarly they don't want to exhaust the old cast by making them finish with a 9 show week, so they've jumped a fair few weeks earlier to solve the problem. I'm guessing we're looking at June/July cast changes for the next couple of years, getting progressively earlier each year.
