Even with Michelle now in as S/B I'm guessing they might get someone else in too? Usually there are four Elphies in the building but with only two does that leave them at risk with Nat M and Laura both out?! Interesting times..... But was Laura ill or was she just desperately needed in the ensemble? If she was just needed in the ensemble and some people from the ensemble return, then they'll have Laura at their disposal again. If Emma returns and Nat McQ returns, they'll have 4 Elphies again. But with Nat A out for over a month (and unconfirmed rumours that she's left the production), Nat McQ injured and Emma Hatton having fallen down some stairs, let's pray this doesn't turn into another Willemijn situation (although I'd be genuinely interested to see how they'd fix that and who they'd bring in). |

On InnuendoAndOutuendo they're saying Laura has a 10 day holiday starting tomorrow.

Well, that actually is what happened I know but hell of a list seeing it written it all down haha! The two u/s have both played the role before! |

But I think before they do that they'll try Hayley Gallivan, Gemma Atkins or Jemma Alexander, who have all been in as emergency standby in the last year. Or maybe even Katie Rowley Jones.
And if they lost Emma they might even have to bring in Rachel a bit sooner or get Kerry Ellis to fill in if she's not too busy with rehearsals. |

So with Michelle now being "standby" is she still going to be behind Natalie M/Laura in the pecking order do we think? (Subject to enough ensemble members) or will she take the usual standby track and be the first call in the absence of Emma?

For now I think she's just emergency standby, which would mean she'd only go on as a last resort. But if it's true that Natalie A has left the production, I think that in light of recent events it wouldn't be unwise to have her officially join the production as standby until cast change. |

But yeah, they both cover Nessa too. But if they really desperatly needed an Elphaba in London, they probably would bring one of them down to London. But probably only as a last resort. |

I would have thought that as she's "emergency" standby, she would be the 'last resort', as it where. Personally I'd be a bit miffed if I only had a couple of months left in the show and my last possible show as Elphie was given to the emergency cover instead hah! they wouldn't bring Rachel in early- too many will have booked for her advertised first night and the cast change. Same for Kerry- very much doubt she would be called in. They'll bring Michelle back if necessary, and if she can't they'll call Natasha or Zoe from Bradford- that's what they did last time there was a tour running |

And yeah, I think Kerry was in Edinburgh last night, but I don't know if she's back already. But of course Hayley and Jemma are most likely. And of course there's always KRJ, who used to understudy Elphaba |

Ooooo I'd love to be a fly-on-the-wall in Mr McCabe's office today! |
