So Laura Emmitt is on the broom this evening and apparently Michelle Pentecost was back last night as s/b. Nat McQ is on crutches so they will definitely need a s/b tonight as Laura is the only Elphie left in the building currently!
When is cast change? Sounds like our Elphies need a break!!

I'm so so excited to see Rachel again. I adore the hint of Irish that comes out in her singing voice, mainly I'm Not That Girl. It's wonderful.

There's a difference, don't make the mistake of assuming everyone who comes from NI doesn't mind being called Irish. I don't care, I use Irish or British interchangeably depending on my mood (and sometimes depending on which passport I happen to have to hand!) but not everyone is so inclined.

I honestly don't think I could tell the difference... However, I don't have many Northern Irish/Irish or Welsh people in my life so they're not accents I'm overly familiar with. Obviously I know an accent when I hear one but I wouldn't be able to differentiate accents by region.

I'm going to sound like a complete tosser here, but I didn't either until I saw Cyprus Avenue at the Royal Court. We really don't pay enough attention to our nearest neighbours sometimes.

I did once annoy a couple from New Zealand by mistaking their accent for Australian lol.

Evidently we don't! Oh well, you learn something new every day, eh? I think my NZ/Australian confusion can be forgiven however - I have never visited either place nor do I live anywhere near!!

Sorry, I didn't mean it to sounds harsh, it was more as a gentle warning just in case you ever happen to be visiting Belfast or any other part of NI - the vast majority of people probably don't care (and I doubt Rachel does!), but there are some people with more hardline views who would certainly take offence, though I think it's all a fuss over nothing given we're geographically attached to one, diplomatically attached to the other and are entitled to carry passports from both!

I'm from Northern Ireland too and people can get very annoyed over the whole Irish/British subject, however people who aren't from Northern Ireland don't think the way we do so it wouldn't bother me if someone referred to me as British when I consider myself Irish. If someone from Northern Ireland called me British that might be a different story. We are freaks.

Nat McQueen has injured her leg/ankle, Natalie A hasn't performed in weeks and I presume Emma and Laura must be ill?

Three female swings on tonight including Laura so guess it's ensemble shortage why Laura isn't playing Elphie as Emma has called out!
