Anyone planning to crack this? I just had a go at this tonight (was one of the early bird pledgers), pretty much an hour and a half of nostalgic-filled excitement and adrenaline! The attention to detail is spot on (the original music playing as you go from zone to zone!) and we had a most eccentric host who gave off very funny Richard O'Brien vibes! They've actually recreated a few of the games that were on the TV show which I remember. You really feel the team spirit from beginning to end as you root each other on to grab those oh-so important crystals.
Must say that the crystal dome itself seemed so much easier on television (and less exhausting!), but it's a proper recreation with the fans and silvery bits of paper flying everywhere!
It's quite expensive for the prices they're charging, but definitely worth saving up for until the end of the year/next year, I believe it's booked out until November.

I would but then it is *so* expensive it's really put me off. I'm hoping later in the year when hype dies down the offers and deals will start.
(and apparently the trick to the dome is to stay to the sides where the fans are as the silver/gold bits of paper collect nearest them)

I wanted to but trying to get a team together to go at those prices was hard so I gave up.

I was there yesterday and it was brilliant. Sold out for the rest of the year (apart from odd tickets), so I wouldn't look out for Groupon offers just yet.
I was there as a one, joined up with another one and a six, to make up a team. I'm not the type of person who loves joining up with strangers, but it was smooth and the maze master made sure that everyone is included.
It's a very clever production, interactive theatre in many ways, and I certainly noticed some set pieces going around the maze (chosen from a selection, I'm sure). I believe that the maze masters are drama students or graduates, and they interact with each other as well as with the teams.
Great fun. All the people I was teamed with would go back, and I'm sure that they will refresh the games at some point just to keep the interest going. The running costs can't be cheap. There are a lot of staff and moving parts there to make everything work.

Have visited both London & Manchester's Crystal Maze. Both excellent visits and completely different experiences. Highly recommended.
Some of the magic of the original series' seems to have been lost with the reboot, but bits I have seen have been mindless fun.

Just seen the clip from Friday nights show where that poor girl looses her wig. I feel bad for laughing but it was funny. Oh well, hair today, gone tomorrow!
