Do we think they’re queuing up for the Phoenix? I doubt CFA is going anywhere, they are just taking a more Hamilton approach to booking periods, which does make sense especially as they're doing a few months at a time not just one.

We had a five minute show stop at this afternoon's performance, just before the bit with the cardiologists.
A spotlight came on, which I now know is for the reporter, but she was nowhere to be seen, so it stayed on...and on...and on, before the house lights came up and an announcement was made that there was a technical problem.

Saw this tonight - rush seat F26 stalls. Great show, great new cast, funny, beautiful and moving. Well worth the money.

Having caught the last few performances of the original cast and seen the new cast last evening, I have to say all the newcomers are individually very strong performers, though I don't think the new cast are at their best yet (understandably).
The energy is there and the blend of voices is fantastic as always (interesting to notice a different set of standout voices), but the chemistry still needs work as you could tell the actors haven't begun to accommodate each other as well as the old cast did- on cast change night, the timings, interactions, and responses off each other were PERFECT, you could feel their camaraderie onstage and it was wonderful that Jonathan came back from his paternity leave especially for the final show.
I realised the many details that I enjoyed so much came from the performers themselves, and it was fun to see the new cast put their own spin on those details- already looking forward to my next visit!

As it seems to be so successful, anyone think this will tour?

As it seems to be so successful, anyone think this will tour? The logistics of it are tricky, because CFA relies so heavily on that revolve that it limits the places where it could go...

Just out of the matinee and this show is in very good hands with the new cast members. Saw it in the first week of the show last year surrounded by visiting Newfoundlanders with their hats festooned with flags and what an atmosphere that was. Sat extreme left front circle today and appreciated the movement of the performers and the effectiveness of the revolve more than when in stalls last year. The screech-out at the end was musical heaven! Such a life-affirming show...long may it attract sold out audiences like todays.

Hmmm, booking on ATG has only just been extended for two weeks til 6th June. That's never usually a great sign. I hope this runs for a while yet. It deserves to.

I was at a Thursday night a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely packed so I don't feel like it's going anywhere yet...

I'm assuming they're doing a Mormon and Hamilton and releasing small blocks of tickets at a time

I really love this show and I hope it sees the year out at the Phoenix. I've seen it 5 times and been blown away every time. I really disliked Alice Fearn as Elphaba (Controversial!) so I'm hoping when I see the new cast I'll like her as BB.

I'm seeing the new cast for the first time tonight.
I loved the original cast so much and hope the show is in good hands.
I saw Alice sing at the West End Acoustic gig at the Other Palace yesterday. She has such a good voice.

I was at a Thursday night a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely packed so I don't feel like it's going anywhere yet... I think it has enough capacity sold to see out another year but as the ancient proverb says "just because a theatre is full it doesn't mean every seat was paid for"

I enjoyed the new cast but there was a bit of the magic missing from the old.

It'd be a crying shame if Blood Brothers could play for 24 years at the Phoenix and this can't even last 2!
I don't get why it doesn't sell better, it's an absolutely amazing show that got great reviews and I've never heard anyone say a single bad word about it.
You'd have thought word of mouth alone would keep it going.

Curiously, while you can buy tickets until June, the main page says it's until 17th October.
