Saw this on Wednesday 6 February and loved it so so much! It was a restorative piece that left me with a renewed sense of hope for the world. It is most definitely a show that resonates during this period of political turmoil and helped me see the bigger picture. I have been listening to the cast album nonstop and will be going back for more viewings!

I do think the sound may need some slight work. At the very start, it took a moment to pull the accents apart and know what the cast were singing and saying, almost like the microphones were too high. There was also a moment or two where Rachel's microphone cut out just as she was finishing a line rather than when she finished it. Just small things here and there, but that's what previews are for. I know I'm contradicting a lot of posts I've previously made here but I thought this show was well too loud. The EQ on the vocals was too brutal as a result and the speech intelligibility suffered as a result. It took a good 15-20 mins for my ears to adjust to the volume and thus for accents and diction to settle. I think there's an obscene amount of PA there for the show and the venue. I get why, as its done for placement. Vocals come out of different hangs depending on where on stage the actor is, so those further up/back get a better concept of the sound imagary, but I think the show suffers as a consequence. I'd be interested to know firefingers opinion on this, as we've clashed previously on sound here but I thing we may be in agreement this time round. Hey SS, I do enjoy our differences of opinions. I saw first preview, so not totally fair to judge the sound, and I was right off to the sound so any clever imagine using the multiple line arrays would have been lost in my little corner. As a Gareth Owen show I tend to find them on the loud side, and this wasn't an exception, but I didn't find it overly so (unlike Bat Out Of Hell or the insanely compressed band on 42nd Street). I'd prefer more dynamic range on Come From Away than I got, but first preview and all that, so I would certainly err on the side of caution and made sure I had control over beauty.i thought clarity was pretty reasonable until Screech In where I have a feeling the vocal bus reset or plug ins crashed or something because vocal clarity and level dropped through the floor and was slowly rebuilt. So I guess not the best sounding show in town (that's Company imo) but not the worst either.

I was at the Wednesday matinee this week, and I started writing my thoughts to post here afterwards but I was struggling to articulate what I wanted to say. But two days later, I cannot stop thinking about this show. The whole cast were incredible, the staging is simple but so impressive, and one minute I was laughing out loud and the next feeling like I could cry. And the band! I always like to watch the band at any show if they're visible, but I loved that the band are really part of the show and they were excellent. Definitely one of my favourite musicals I've seen in recent years.
At the beginning of this year I said to myself no repeat theatre visits as I wanted to see lots of different things, but I think I'm going to break that promise with this show. I've already arranged to go again with a friend after demanding she see it too!

Very excited to be seeing this today - I just got a Dress Circle seat in the TodayTix rush. I’ve tried to steer clear of listening to the music - the only songs I know are Welcome to the Rock and Me and the Sky - so I’m going in with almost a blank slate and am prepared for an emotional afternoon! I also can’t wait to see Rachel Tucker on stage again.

On Thursday I was in row B Grand Circle and the view was great. Any suggestions for other parts of the theatre ? I'm not sure some of my guests will be too happy with the number of stairs to the Grand Circle. I was thinking of the cheaper 'side view' D/E stalls seats. Are they worth it ? Stage looked quite high so wanted to avoid first few rows. Any recommendations for <£45 seats ? I want to take a number of people and I don't want to bankrupt myself :-)

I was in E1 stalls for first preview and the view was great missing only a tiny slither

Wow. We really need this show right now. It's a beautiful tribute to humanity and kindness - a remarkable story told in a remarkable way by an extremely talented ensemble of cast and band. You can tell how much work has gone into this - I can't imagine how long they must have spent tweaking and changing things until they got it just right. The balance of different stories, the way that characters are represented, the transitions, the ensemble movement, it's all perfectly honed to make a streamlined show that sweeps you up and takes you on this journey with the characters.
9/11 was 5 days before my 6th birthday - I don't remember much from that age. I don't remember where I was when the news hit, who told me or how I felt. There's no way that I could really have comprehended what had happened at that age, or how far-reaching its effects were. But that doesn't matter, because today I had a glimpse. The stories of the terrible effects of that day are told subtly, but that's what makes them so personal. And what's remarkable is that from each of those stories comes hope. The team behind this show took one of the most shocking and scary events of a generation and didn't spin it to drive hate or judgement, but made it a message about kindness and acceptance, and how the most unlikely and uncomfortable of circumstances can bring people together. Thank god they did. Thank god it made its way to the West End. I feel so happy that I've had the chance to see it, and I hope that many many others do too.
(On a less overtly emotional note, if this doesn't get Best New Musical at the Oliviers I will riot. In a kind and loving way. It's the most exquisitely crafted piece of theatre the West End has seen this year, and perhaps even longer.)

Just walked past the theatre tonight on my way to the Donmar. The theatre facade is looking great all lit up. Seriously looking forward to getting to see the show on the 25th Feb.

Just magic this afternoon. A kaleidoscope of different stories beautifully interwoven with humour and love. The fantastic balance between narrative and song was quite brilliant and very unusually it went down on the repeat visit list.
I remember that terrible day unfold and this is a stunning way of showing some lesser known positive responses.

Just saw this with four friends this evening, five stars from me too *****
I like the cast recording but didn't expect to be so blown away, totally forgot it is still in previews. Wonderful cast, some lovely touching moments and also funny parts.
Was on row Q in £45 seats. Recommend! Didn't feel too far away and don't see that would have gained anything by paying £65 for two rows closer!

I can’t rave about this show enough.
Such a remarkable thing to see so much humanity in a commercial West End musical. But in a strange way, it makes you feel glad to be alive. Keep loving each other, folks.
I’d give it ten stars if I could.

And for anyone who’s interested, Rachel Tucker sings Me And The Sky in C, a semitone lower than Jenn Colella’s D flat in the Broadway production.
I wasn’t prepared for how beautifully that song segued from the transition music before it.

I'm going to add a rave - I grabbed a rush ticket (Q2 in the stalls) yesterday evening because I've been having quite a difficult period and wanted a distraction. It was perfect for the purposes. Great show and really uplifting and hopeful. I really, really hope it does well and gets the credit it deserves.

Saw this last night and you can add me to the camp of people who loved it, it was such a heartfelt and emotional show. Everything in it is brilliant from the ensemble, to the movement and the music. I'm so glad I have seen it and really hope it does well in rthe West End.

In other news saw my first Tim Hortons, (the Canadian equivalent of Starbucks) relevant to this show, morning Beulah in Birmingham yesterday. in othe other news my train made it to London Euston despite overhead wire damage.
