Just a quick question - is the entire cast in London the same as the one in Dublin? (I’m guessing the answer is yes, as I can’t think of a reason why it would be a ‘no’ in such a short transfer time). I’m assuming nobody was changed - right?

Still reeling. A brilliant show. I can't wait to go back. Granted the audience reaction and atmosphere might not be like that every night so it might lose a tiny something there but this show could be performed to 1 and still be stunning. I have to say I was excited about this show but not jump out my seat can't wait exvuted, but I'll be surprised if anything beats this show this year. Normally I'm a person who takes time to collect my thoughts on a show and not really come to a conclusion till a few days after but this one I was up with a standing Ovation and cheering before they even finished singing and working out when I can see it again.

Just exceptional. Every bit as good as New York and Toronto. Cast are wonderful. Spot on casting I’m wondering - was the key for Me and the Sky lowered? Or maybe it just sits in a different place in Rachel’s voice. View was great from side stalls I don’t think they’ve changed the key of ‘Me and the Sky’ for Rachel Tucker - it wasn’t changed in Dublin anyway. What makes you think it has been changed? I’ve just listened to the cast album and the final Dublin performance on a website... it sounds like a different key. It was the original key at Canada house. This is by no means a criticism and just an observation. Anyone with a good ear give a listen to the cast album and the Dublin performance and tell me I’m not imagining things 😂 Also, is it typical that some opening night seats may go on sale? I’d love to go on the 18th

I remember listening to her sing it in rehearsals and it sounded like she was slightly struggling so I imagine it's just to preserve her voice which is fair enough.

Just a casual observation that, seven people from this board went to the first night (I'm jealous) and we have had seven flat out raves.
Welcome to the Rock!!!

I'd say that a large majority of people who book for a first preview of a show that has transferred from Broadway are already big fans of the show, so I'd be very surprised if they were anything but raves. it will be interesting to see if the general public feel the same.

Booked another 2 trips to see this today. Still buzzing from that story line last night. Superb acting by all.
I can't say I knew much about this prior to booking - knew it was a Broadway hit, but hadn't (still haven't) listened to the soundtrack. The lady behind me, in conversation at the station afterwards, was wondering how many of those attending would know, would appreciate, that full ghastly horror of what happened that day in 2001 ..
I need to know more about Gander now (there's a competition on the inside back page of the programme to win a visit!!!) so now I've tickets safely tucked away I'm off to google. Or do some work, maybe ..

I’m so excited to book for this show now! Everyone’s reviews make it sound so incredible- Is Row A a good place to sit or would it be too close?

Can only echo everyone else's raves, this was pretty much flawless last night.
We were sitting at the end of the front stalls (F1-2) and the view was great from there! The stage is very high though so do wonder how the view is from the front row day seats.
Did anyone else notice the Toxic Avenger throwback for Emma Salvo's character? Lovely coincidence.

The stage seemed quite high and looking at the people in the front row it didn’t look the most comfortable angle.

Ah I’m quite short anyway so I think i’ll probably steer clear of the front then, I don’t want to have to crane my neck for the entire show- thanks!

I was row A last night and while it wasn't the *worst* view I've had in the theatre you are very close, and will be craning your neck the whole time. As another poster has mentioned, around row F will likely be just about level with the stage and a perfect view 😀

I was C12 on the centre aisle (it's the 4th row, I think), I liked the centre aisle view a lot - A LOT! In fact two ladies I see *everywhere* and know the theatre well buy seats either side of the aisle to avoid any blocking heads in front, so they were sat in the seat(s) in front. Lynne in front of me remarked she'd been to Violet that afternoon, the lady behind had commented she'd been to Violet that same performance, and the guys next to me said they'd been there too ... proper theatre fan fest going on!
Front row did look very high (is it just me or are the seats at the Phoenix low? Lynne said she takes 2 coats to sit on) ... I'd like to "see" a box, but on calling ATG this morning, and her checking with the Box Office while I held, their comment was it's 25% restricted view and they like to sell to disabled punters first .. then they go on general sale nearer the date, not in advance. No idea what the costs would be. Anyhoo - from what I saw the majority of the action is pretty much front and centre, only one point was Rachel Tucker, in a featured song while seated, partly hidden behind a chair in front of her, from my Row C stalls.
(Apologies if this sounds muddled, it made perfect sense as I typed it).

I’m almost reluctant to post this but oh well, there’s always one! I went last night, I enjoyed it but I wasn’t blown away. I think I’m just too cynical for it, everyone in the town was just soooo nice, I felt like I was on the verge of getting diabetes! The characters didn’t have much depth, they all seemed to just be given one characteristic – loves animals, British, drinks whiskey etc. I don’t want to bash it because I liked it, I’m glad I went and the £10 seats had a perfect view, but I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

But, like, you know its not fiction right? You know its created from hundreds of hours and hundreds of pages of interviews? with these people? So it's all true that they actually were that nice? I'm a little confused as to what the problem with that is...
