Final curtain call! Looks fabulous. For 90 Petula can still move! Great to see the cast having as much fun as they have brought to thousands in the audience during the shows run. Really is the most uplifting experience.

Such an incredible show this afternoon. Loved this show ever since I saw the 2nd preview of the original production back in December 2004. Also happened to be my first West End show. Saw the previous tour many times, as well as the 1st preview of this London run and a few more times between then and today. Was a very emotional day, I teared up multiple times. As with Zizi and most of the audience, the tears finally escaped during the last moment between Mary and Bert "it's tonight isn't it?" Hardly a dry eye in the room when she said "yes Bert".
Was shocked by the lack of any speeches, but the 2nd encore was a delight. The cast just didn't want to leave the stage. Was also nice to see the swing involved in costume at the curtain call.
The midshow standing ovations were very much deserved. Hoping it isnt too long until Mary flies back into a theatre.
Til we meet again Mary.

Was the show really not doing well enough to have kept it going longer. There's much love for this show. I'd love to have been there yesterday, having been at the early performances at the bristol Hippodrome nearly twenty years ago. The best flying I've seen was at the Manchester Palace - truly wonderful.

I’m sad this show has closed. I saw it earlier last year and unfortunately didn’t get round to going again but I absolutely loved it. I don’t feel like it gets mentioned much but I think Anything Can Happen is one of the highlights of the show for me. I hope this show does come back to the West End eventually, I got used to it being a part of the Soho landscape.
I also think Charlie Stemp is rather handsome!

It wasn’t doing well enough.. that’s the point. They will send it back out on tour I’m sure.

The best flying I've seen was at the Manchester Palace - truly wonderful. Some midweek performances had been very quiet. Closing the balcony, moving everyone in the stalls forward so there was a decent amount of people in 1 place and not big patches of empty seats dotted around. There was also quite a few ticket offers around. I think my flatmate paid £30 and was sat in stalls row H or thereabouts.

A question for anyone who may know the answer… I went to see the 7:30pm performance on Tuesday 27th December and had been looking forward to seeing Mary fly over the audience, however it never happened! Does anyone know the reason for this? Still thoroughly enjoyed the show and am very sad to see it’s departure.

That specific evening no, but she flies on two tracks and there are times when the switch doesn't kick in to the one that takes her out and she just flies across the stage (I've never seen it but I've heard that its happening infrequently)

She flies onstage using a track- but in the auditorium she flies via (4 very visible) lines - not a track

Someone posted this same question on a Facebook group and the answer was it was due to technical difficulties. Nothing more sinister, but yes a shame not to see the flight. It's a magical part of the show.
