No venues announced in or around London seems to imply it will stay around in London for a little while longer.

Great to see Sheffield on the list. Hope they know where it is though, the map they released had the Sheffield marker in Lincoln!

I'm quite surprised we got the show in Glasgow. Usually the big tours that do a month run in Edinburgh, never make it to Glasgow other than odd exception like Wicked a few years ago.

They could easily add quite a few more venues into the gaps alone so I'd expect Cardiff and Dublin will be added/announced at some point. Also has Southampton been confirmed as the last venue? If not then there's obviously potential for the show to visit those venues after Southampton. Already booked for Bristol, may have to add Oxford and Southampton onto that, going to try and hold off booking those until we get a casting announcement though.

Does anyone know if the casting for the KB tour has been finalised yet? Any news?

Will the UK/Ireland Tour set be similar to the 1st US Tour set or the second tour? The second tour set is more simple and easier to tour with, but since it is the first UK tour maybe they will splash out on the set? Also, why are tours of musicals more frequent (ie more than 1 tour in a few years) than shows in th UK.? Tour 2 is non-equity, so it is not a replica of Broadway.

When does everyone reckon press night will be in Northampton? Assuming there will be a few previews.

I don't imagine any of the leads from will return for the tour. Thinking about it:
Killian is doing the Les Mis tour, David will of just finished two years in London.
Matt is focusing alot on music at the moment and Simon is obviously staying in London.
Amy could reprise her performance in London, that wouldn't surprise me. Elena is going into Les Mis as Eponine. And Verity I believe is doing some TV work? So will be interesting at least to see if anyone decided to go onto the tour.

She's finishing with Mamma Mia soon. That is unless the tour has already been cast and they just aren't telling us who's who until summer.

I’d love to see Amy back, she was my favourite Lauren out of the 3 who played her..hilarious! She hasn’t done much for ages tho...she was invovled in the Tina workshop, I guess she played Rhonda, but didn’t do the West End obviously

I never saw her but she sounds hilarious on the cast recording!

Hearing that Tim Newman is going to be Charlie on the tour. Surprised as I half expected them to want someone more well known for ticket sales, especially as Duncan James and Matt Cardle were names in the mix not long back.

If that's the Tim Newman who understudied Huey in Memphis, he will be fantastic. I caught him as Huey and he was a fantastic actor and had an incredible voice. With regards to having 'names' in the show, I feel this show relies far more on having Cyndi Lauper's name attached to it, than it does on stunt castings (For London anyway). None of the London leads have ever been people that are really well known outside the theatre world. Killian wasn't even that big a name when he was cast.

When shows tend to go on tour from London they more often than not seem to put names into them. Would have thought with it still running in London that they might have been even more likely to put a name into the tour. Wonder if the Lauren will be a name. Never caught Tim in Memphis but did see him in JCS last year. Think he would be a good choice.

This video was shared to his Facebook page when the show closed if you didn't get the chance to hear/see him: www.facebook.com/jletremy/videos/vb.100001066501178/994888043890070/?type=2&theater

I was glad to catch him in Memphis too and he was excellent! Amazing choice if true.

Around round Birmingham next weekend might want to pop along More here: midlandszone.co.uk/news/birmingham-pride-gets-kinky/16497Although apparently it's the West End cast rather than the tour cast. Float performances from 12 noon, then a main marquee performance at 3:15pm. Looks like it's mostly the London covers, which I presume will leave them short of people in the West End that Saturday (Jemal Felix as Lola. Jak Allen-Anderson, George Grayson, Luke Jackson and Ben Sell as Angels).

Of those listed to be appearing in Birmingham only two are currently in the West End production (Jemal and George), given that there are four swings who cover the angels roles it shouldn’t be noticeable that they are out. Both Luke and Ben were angels in previous London productions and Jak is joining the West End cast next month. Only wish I was free next Saturday to pay a visit

Was hoping for Tompsett and McQueen on tour but sadly not. I heard it was Matt Cardle as Charlie. If it is him I probably won’t be disappointed as I heard good things about him in “Memphis”.

I don't think he would tour with a show. That's what people said about Sheridan Smith and 'Funny Girl' and yet there she was, gallivanting around delights like Milton Keynes, Bradford, Birmingham and Newcastle. No. Me neither.
