I remember the original broadcast. Will be lovely to hear Claire Moore as Sarah again (she's still soooo good!), and Anita Dobson was hilarious as Adelaide.

Well that's certainly not the cast I was expecting. Many Patinkin and Anita Dobson!!!!! Not having heard the original broadcast I didn't know what to expect. I listened to my Freeview box recording of it last night and loved it! It was a bit different to the stage version I saw last December in Manchester and the film version though. the BBC version had "A bushel and a peck" (not sure of the actual title) instead of "Pet Me Poppa" in the first nightclub sequence. Both versions had Arvide's beautiful song to Sarah, but that isn't in the film version! I'd love to know how these decisions get made.
