Bear in mind Les Mis often do a Cast Change midway through the year as well, so people who have seemingly been in the show forever, may not be doing another full year.

I am going to see Les Mis on Friday as have family visiting London and this is the show at the top of their list to see. Ive had to pay more than I paid to see Sunset Boulevard to get decent seats (those tourists must be rich!) Last time I saw it was the 25th Anniversary concert at the o2. Whats it like these days at The Queens? Is it getting a bit tired or still a good show?

The show felt in excellent shape. Wasn't the biggest fan of Thenardier or the lead Valjean, but Jeremy Secomb was one of, possibly the best Javert I've seen. Please do report back and let us know what you think!

The casting is consistently great, and it has a strong ensemble. I think where some shows like Wicked have lost a bit of their spark, Les Mis is still a brilliant show and production.

Whats it like these days at The Queens? Is it getting a bit tired or still a good show? I saw the show yesterday. Don`t expect the show to be as good as the 25th concert. The 25th concert had the top performer for the every role (with the Marius exception). Peter L is the star of the current west-end show as JVJ (of course) and he carries the show. As did Rachelle Ann Go, who is back. I am a big fan of hers. It was a bit hot in the theatre, so maybe dress cooly and the seats may become uncomfortable after two hours. At one point in Thursday nights show. A character on stage with a big stick (like Gandalfs staff) bangs the staff on the floor (loudly) and pointed at the audience front row. I do wonder what that was all about. Was someone using their phone on the front row ?

I saw it a few weeks ago on Saturday night and agree it looked as fresh as ever. Agree about the seats though. Even in the stalls where the legroom is quite good the seats are ever so hard. Apart from that I bet you'll have a great time.

Well I was impressed. First saw it in 1985, then the 25th Anniversary concert at the 02 and I am sure I have seen it again at The Queens but it was a few years ago. And as others have said, still fresh, cast worked so hard. We had fantastic seats row E in the stalls, but they cost an arm and a leg. I had family visiting and this is what the wanted to see so it was my treat. I had forgotten how good the lighting is for this show and the sets, but I still cant watch the revolve without thinking of Forbidden Broadway. Best cast members for me were Peter Lockyer as Jean Valjean, Eva Noblezada as Eponine and Bradley Jaden as Enjoiras (I remember seeing him in a recent concert "The Kings of Broadway" and remarking on how powerful his voice was). Was also impressed by Phil Daniels. My family loved it, but god that show is long..........................

Does anyone know if Rachelle Ann Go and Eva Noblezada are on this week barring illness? As far as I know Rachelle is now back, but I checked the Manila website and it lists her as Fantine on that site as well.
I'm considering snagging a ticket for Friday.

Emma Kingston was on for Eponine last night, I'm not sure what the reason is though.. As for Rachelle, if she was called back to Manila, I feel she would have tweeted about it and she hadn't so it's probably jusr an error on the site... I could be worng though

Les Mis Manila ended some time ago . They start again in Singapore - next week I think. With a different Fantine.

BBC news online this morning woke me up with a start... A "same sex kiss" has been cut from the Singapore production of the show. Same sex kiss? I've seen this show more times than Burly has changed his avatar. A lot more times. All over the place. And I've never seen the "same sex kiss"! I pictured some new directorial change, with Marius deciding to join Enjolras at the barricade for something other than a bit of fighting and standing up to the baddies. A bit of petting as the red flag flew at the Act One finale. Or was Javert now snogging the face off Valjean as he emerged from the sewers? I was almost on the point of booking myself a last minute ticket on the Delfont Mackintosh website as I sat in my jimjams.
And then I read the smaller print: apparently there's a peck (unscripted according to the article, and the cause of the rumpus) in Beggar at the Feast...
Was never there in my day.
(I reckon they should stick in in anyway. And wave a rainbow flag instead of the red one. Just for good measure.)

^ I would love to see Les Mis having a rainbow flag as tonight at 7, there will be some kind of Love-march in Old Compton street, which is basically where Les Mis is..

Can you imagine that?
On a more serious note, I'm a little surprised that Cam Mack has bowed to this kind of pressure from Singapore. He once stood up to the US with regard to the casting of Jonathan Pryce. Dug his heels in. Different things, I know, but the same principle...

I could. They also waved a French flag after the terrorist attacks in Paris. Ofc its a French story, but love is something that connects people worldwide, not just the French. I'd say it would be a powerful non-verbal statement. In the heart of Soho, waving a rainbow flag as outside there will be some sort of protest march going on.

It's extraneous (not offensive, just kinda there) but am also surprised they bowed to the pressure and cut it.
