The Australian production may have been postponed for now, but Jamie opened in South Korea on 4 July at the LG Arts Centre in Seoul.
I can't quite believe it. From Sheffield to Seoul, via Shaftesbury Avenue!

From Sheffield to Seoul, via Shaftesbury Avenue! Wow, interesting. It looks very similar, apart from a lack of diversity in the cast. Curious how they've changed the jokes to make them work in Korean. Four different actors (K-Pop stars) sharing the role of Jamie, so that will guarantee the fan base. So right now in Seoul, you have the choice of local versions of Jamie or Rent. Possibly the best place in the world to be a musical theatre fan right now (if you can cope with watching the shows in a mask). And 42nd Street is playing too.

Many thanks for posting that link, Dr Tom. It's very generous of the Korean producers to allow so much of the show to be uploaded. I've had a lovely afternoon watching it in the park...though I should really have made the effort to walk to Parson Cross Park for extra authenticity. 🙂 Even without understanding a single word of Korean, the raw emotion of He's My Boy is still incredibly powerful. Someone has posted in the comments on YouTube that they hope one of the Jamies returns to the role after his military service, which is not a problem Nica Burns has ever had to worry about with John, Layton et al!

Someone on Facebook is convinced this is reopening on November 12th as part of the NIMAX reopening. Nothing in the press release gives a definitive opening date for any of the long runners though

Nothing in the press release gives a definitive opening date for any of the long runners though www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54145479This BBC News article seems to support the re-opening on the 12th. Have I missed something or has this not been announced anywhere? I can’t see anything on the Jamie social media channels or website!? 🤔

That's what puzzles me. The only evidence seems to be that the 12th is the current on sale date. I'm not ready to take that as confirmation just yet

They rushed the announcement about Six out today because it made good editorial to tie in to the start of the 'rule of six' but the plan is to reopen Everybody's Talking about Jamie, The Play That Goes Wrong and Magic Goes Wrong in November, and these will be official announced later this week. They're looking to reblock and then rehearse Jamie during the day whilst Adam Kay is playing in the evening,

A few articles are already saying that Jamie will be back in November (12th).

You know, it could well be reopening on 12 November, based on nothing more than the type of booking page that opens.
Try to book for Jamie on any random date in November, December or January, and you are assigned a seat, like for Six; try to book for Magic or TPTGW on the same dates, and you are able to select your own seat.
Then again, it could be nothing. We shall see!

Well, that was just the pick-me-up I needed on a Sunday morning. Thanks for posting. Sometimes British movies look like they've been made on a shoestring, which they often have, but not this one. It looks fab-u-lous. They've even included the scene I watched being filmed outside Atkinsons!
Were it not for CV, we would now be just days away from the original release date, then I think it was moved to January, so let's hope it's third time lucky for February. 🤞
P.S. What is a seat end post?

I only saw the filmed stage production (spouse saw it live as well). So, this looks fun and a feel good film and some big numbers - "Stop waiting for permission to be you".

Make sure you bring your tissues, there won't be a dry eye in the cinema I don't think!
The show on stage is a tear-jerker enough as it is haha.
Cannot. Wait!!

I assume it's on other platforms too, but on Twitter alone the trailer has had 5.7 million views in just two days. Obviously they won't all be 'unique', but that's an incredible number.

Yes, how annoying. They announced it as reopening on 16 November and now they've delayed it to 28 November. I have tickets in that period too.
I know it can't be helped with the current situation.

Stalls B, which is front row, priced at only £20 booked direct with Nimax. It is a very high stage (as the website warns) but a bargain if you are prepared / tall enough for the significant look-up.
We're combining it with Les Mis concert on the same day. and very lucky to have secured the dead centre front row stalls for both.
The seat either side of the two I booked were immediately removed from sale. A much better system for the customer than selling seats only in social bubbles.
