I think an interesting discussion to be had is, if Bianca's fans are all gonna flock to her arena tour in their thousands, do they really wanna sit through a two and a half musical they maybe don't care about, or just wait to see her on tour? It's different with Michelle because we don't get the chance to see her often. Michelle turns up to the opening of an envelope! She hosts a bunch of the Drag Race Tours, she does the reality TV circuit, and is always judging at Porn Idol and the like? It's much easier & cheaper to see her IRL than Bianca.

The casting is amazing. It will certainly attract new people to the theatre. The casting directors are very clever - including people like Michelle, Faye and Bianca in this show as they know their audience well

I wonder if the promotional material will say Roy Haylock or Bianca Del Rio?
Bianca playing Hugo would be a very different interpretation.

I don't know if this has been said already, but Bianca will not perform 5-8 June.
Currently waiting on my boss to confirm my days off in May. I don't want to miss this!

Enjoying this question and yes, interesting to think about. I thought it was great to see a different side of Roy when he was on RPDR, talking about his friend’s child calling him ‘Lady Roy’ when he’s in drag. A glimpse of the person behind the character. I also loved how sweet he was to Adore, great to see that ‘the ferocious’ Bianca Del Rio was such a lovely person IRL.

Well, I’m sure I’ll be in the minority here and that’s fine. But I don’t like the fact that this is turning into Chicago MkII. The latest West End stunt casting opportunity. Dont get me wrong I like Bianca as much as the next RDR fan but this is not right for her. The character is supposed to be a rough, northern drag act. She knows nothing about this. As was the case with Visage trying (not very hard) to do northern England it detracts from the roots of this production in a way I really don’t like. I saw it at the Crucible when it was honest and and heartfelt and heartbreaking and now it’s turning into some brash moneyspinner. Sell out. In every sense of the word. Completely agree with BurlyBeaR. The integrity of the show has disappeared along with the Original Cast. It’s not clever casting.....it’s cheap and what was once a beautiful and heartfelt show (I too saw it in Sheffield) has become a hop-on for any celeb who fancies it. No star names in the original cast. The creatives and Producers obviously no longer have faith in the material. It’s a pity.

Bit of advice needed.
I am hoping to dayseat this tomorrow for the matinee however there aren't very many seats left on the Nimax site. I know they do the front row on the TodayTix lottery. What are the chances of BO tickets being available? Do they hold back seats for BO dayseat sales or is it just what they have available on the site? I know it's the Easter hols so busy and don't know whether to just cut my losses and go and dayseat Waitress instead where there are a lot more seats available.
I'm also hoping to dayseat CFA in the evening and my mum is joining me in one of the queues to take my place while I run off to the other theatre.

I believe they have some of the front row at the venue, maybe the two end seats on each side. I've had dayseats in great stalls locations and also the side circle before.

It's usually just 4 seats on the front row, maybe something else if they have it, but apparently it is very busy at the moment and often they haven't been doing more recently. So if I was to arrive early enough to be number one or two I should be fine? And if there are more people I'll just go elsewhere. It's for my mum rather than me, I've already seen Jamie. She'd be equally happy with Waitress, but we saw that a couple of years ago on Broadway

I queued for day seats this Saturday. They had 4 seats in the front row and also sold at least 6 day seats that I saw in the remainder of the stalls, all for the evening show (I got F18). Nobody queuing was looking for matinee tickets. So I suppose it depends on the day and how many orphaned seats are left in the stalls?

As I am sure everyone is waiting with baited breath to find out how I'm doing this morning. I got to Jamie at 7:45am and no one else is here. Somebody better arrive soon as I look lonely and dejected 🤔

My mother arrived at 9am so I left her there whilst I went to CFA queue. Only one other couple arrived at about 9:40am.
Got the two row end seats and that is all they sold for the matinee. The other couple wanted evening and were offered the same seats. They asked for something more central and were told to try the lottery or pay full price

From my experience, this is one of the least helpful box offices, even though there will be "second chance" offers to lottery entrants, as well as reduced price seats available for Tkts. But I understand that the box office staff can only sell seats they've been authorised to sell. Just always seems a bit odd that they're happy to pay commission to all these third parties rather than offer the seats directly.

It would be more than 12 months ago now, maybe even 18, but I had a good experience with the box office at about 5pm for a midweek performance. Looks like things have changed since then!

No issues with the Box Office for me when I went 30 minutes before curtain up a few weeks ago and was offered a massively discounted ticket. Maybe depends on who’s working.

Add me to the list of people with great experiences at the box office. They even let me swap my day seat for a seat further back 5 minutes before curtain when i saw how tall the stage was!

When I went in March the staff were so friendly! We were talking to an usher who advised us if we weren’t happy with the box we could swop for other seats. In the end we kept the box and it was wonderful!
Sabrina Sandhu is just brilliant as Pritti! Loved her so much! 😍 Can’t wait to visit again!

I would love to see John McCrea again (especially in Sheffield), but maybe he wanted a change? After all, he played the part for nearly two years.

In this video from December 2018 John mentions he would like to take the show back to Sheffield and do that that stop only. It seems like he would be open to doing it?
Things may have changed however since then and now, or by the time the tour will start.
