Sorry to dissapoint you but it’s from a producer friend and the exact recording not available to the public. The recording is perfect - the camera work terrible as I said.

Has the real Jamie fallen on hard times or something all he seems to wear are theses horrible outfits made out of the posters for the show. Decent promo, but my god they looks awful!

That’s the kind of style he’s always gone for if you look back and it’s what they have reflected in the show. It’s personal taste, no need to be so rude

Some of the cast were on the Chris Evans Breakfast show on Radio 2 this morning. Not sure who as I only caught a snippet of it.

It was John McCrea and Lucie Shorthouse plus The Feeling. They did an interview then sang And You Don't Even Know It, later in the show, they also sang It Means Beautiful.

As I've said before, I don't think this show is as amazing as everyone says it is. I mean, I liked it, but found it really overrated. But I downloaded the cast recording yesterday, been listening to it, and I must say it's growing on me. He's My Boy and My Man, Your Boy are currently on repeat and I'm sobbing.

I love those two as well. I'm seeing the show in December and try to go into shows as blind as possible, so I was going to allow myself to listen through the recording once. I listened once and immediately wanted to listen again and then one more time. I'm going to restrain myself now and try and wait til I see it to start listening again. I love the ones you mentioned, but also The Wall in My Head and Ugly in This Ugly World.

I notice that Chris Evans confirmed John McCrea is leaving in the interview (around 1:51:30).
Chris Evans said something like "You are quite busy in the future, I've heard" to John McCrea, who said "Yes" then quickly changed the subject.
Anyone know about more? January is mentioned later in the interview.

Not seeing it. What should I be searching for specifically? I have a link to the full show on my google drive but not a YouTube link! Also does anyone here know who second cover or perhaps third cover Jamie is? I know Luke Bayer is first but I’ve been wondering who the second cover would be? My guess would be Ryan Hughes would be 2nd cover (I only say that as he's the only other person with blonde hair!). I wish the programme would list all the understudies for each role - some don't get any credit for their understudy roles - such as Kirstie Skivington as Miss Hedge/2nd cover Ray, or Ken Christiansen for Hugo.

Watched a couple of clips from the live cinema broadcast, do you think the leads hammed it up a bit? The subtleties seem a bit lost from when I saw it in the theatre, it could be that you need to be there live to get the full impact but also I can see why you would play it up a bit so the ever moving, zooming in and out camera gets the most from you.

I thought that compared with Sheffield, John McCrea’s characterisation has become less sympathetic. There was a very charming innocence about the whole thing at The Crucible which doesn’t seem to be there now. Understandable I suppose, he’s two years older and has been performing it day in day out. It’s still a great performance but I’m pleased I saw it at its inception.

There was an Instagram story a while back on Luke Bayer’s account account where he’d recorded Ryan singing along to Wall in My Head in the dressing room and he’d captioned that ‘second cover Jamie’. I was never sure whether or not he was messing around though

In case it's useful, here are the times for the interview segments on the Chris Evans' show last week. (on iPlayer at www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0bclwrw)1:40:40 - 1:46:30 1:49:30 - 1:55:40 1:59:40 - 2:01:30 2:02:35 - 2:07:40
(Alexandra Burke and Matt Cardle join)
2:08:40 - 2:16:20 2:20:00 - 2:27:00 2:38:20 - 2:48:55 The songs are at: And You Don't Even Know It (clean version) 2:04:10 - 2:07:40 It Means Beautiful 2:43:25 - 2:45:55
Both songs sound great in their stripped back form.
Some highlights from the interviews:
John - favourite musical is The King and I Dream role is to "play Doctor Who", as a male, female or cross-dressing version Lots of talk about his upcoming role without saying what it is. Chris Evans "it's very exciting. you more than deserve it." (wonder if it could be the movie Jamie?)
Lucy - favourite musical is The Sound of Music and would love to play Maria Says she has "never had a singing lesson" Matt - favourite musical is Memphis
Watched Will Young "every other day" to prepare for his role in Strictly Ballroom (although he also said Will had been in the show "for six months") He rehearses his scripts and learns his lines with his mum
Alexandra - favourite musical is Hamilton

Several people on here have just been discussing the appearance of a bootleg recording of a cinema showing. This is a reminder that the material is copyright of the show's producers and creators, and that any recording posted anywhere without authorisation is illegal and stealing from the show.
You wouldn't walk into a store and help yourself to a DVD from the shelf, walking out without paying. This is exactly the same thing. Please bear that in mind. Thanks. Noted.
Sorry @theatremonkey. I need to brush up on the forum guidelines.

What would you prefer, Sean? That the mods are more relaxed about things until a theatre bigwig decides to have us shut down? We already had to rehome once, and it'll be hard to get volunteers to set up *another* new home if the *volunteers* who set this place up have been subject to legal action as a result of *not* policing the posting of illegal material. Sure, maybe the discussion of the existence of illegal material isn't the same as actively posting it, but if aforementioned bigwig can spin said discussion as promotion (and you bet your ass they can), then it won't really make much practical difference in the end. Stay on the safe side and be grateful for mods who care.

They do a fantastic Job, offer a huge commitment to the board and I am incredibly grateful for all their efforts with this board. I certainly wouldn't want anyone to be getting in trouble or facing legal battles. I just wish the rules on notice board were a bit more clear. Its a shame committed and long term members were penalized for posts that were not violating the rules stated on the noticeboard. No one was "selling or promoting bootlegs" but yet our posts were removed. Maybe editing the text on the noticeboard to include the discussion of cinema broadcasts on YouTube as a no go would be useful for future members. If rules are there but only visible to admin and not other board users then we don't know what is or what is not off limits. I knew the posting of bootlegs was off limits but i didn't know disusing the professional cinema recording on YouTube was off limits but I do now.
