I saw it last Wednesday and really enjoyed it! It's such a positive piece with a great message, especially for the young LGBT people. Josie Walker tore my heart into pieces during "If I met myself again" and "My boy". Stellar performance. I hope it runs for a long time!

Late to the party with this but thought it was wonderful. Such a pleasure to see a vibrant new ( British ) musical on the London stage.
Great songs, great staging and lighting, funny and moving.
All the performances were excellent I thought, but of course John McCrea and Josie Walker gave standout performances. Talking to an usher (as you do ) apparently John has not missed a show - over 100 performances!

I've been listening to the Concept Album quite a bit and I'm wondering who does the female vocals in 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie' and 'At 16' - on iTunes, Betty Boo and Sophie Ellis-Bextor are credited on the songs they appear in, but there's no female artist credited on those two songs. Does anyone know who it is?

Will be seeing this next Saturday. Received the Nimax email telling me they’re looking forward to welcoming me blah, blah, blah. Am looking forward to it but am a bit puzzled by this:
“Why not stop by the ‘Promporium’ in the stalls bar to take advantage of the Yorkshire themed treats that perfectly compliment the show...”
What’s on offer? Yorkshire puddings? Parkin? Pontefract cakes? (Please God, not a toad in the hole...)

Spice, @caiaphas, spice. (And I mean good Sheffield spice, not the stuff that's currently gripping Manchester.)

That NIMAX come-on should of course be complEment, not compliment. Sigh .... "Whatever happened to class?", as they sing in a certain musical coming up soon.

^ Haha! I hadn’t even spotted that as I’d already made my mind up that I couldn’t be tempted to buy a £4.95 bag of Yorkshire themed Maltesers.
Class dispappeared from Chicago many years ago... (oh, and that chap who’s going to be playing Billy Flynn was on Ant and Dec last night, singing lines from his song. No doubt to practise in front of the kind of audiences the show’ll be getting...)

Do they have Yorkshire Mixture? I'm afraid I can't remember. Sorry. It wouldn't be a proper Sheffield spread without 'Enderson's, would it?

Must make an effort to go back to this one. Saw it in December and bar one total bore of a scene and one that made me really uncomfortable, I really enjoyed it! It is probably the best New Musical I saw last year.
