We had a similar thread last year. I like going to new venues (but I don't always necessarily want to return!). What new theatres and venues have board members been to in 2017? Are there good and bad points to highlight?

The Watermill Theatre at Bagnor near Newbury, Berkshire.
Has a watermill and a duckpond with rangeing fowl.
Strolled to a matinee from Newbury rail station in a little under an hour.
They have Jerusalem this summer.

StoryHouse, Chester.
Went once for one house production (The Beggars Opera) the rest of the Shakespearean offerings don't appeal to me and the calibre of shows they're getting in as a receiving house (Spamalot, Son of a Preacherman) have absolutely no appeal to me either.

Hardly any new ones for me this year, only (finally!) the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse which I had wanted to see for years.
Biggest novelty was the Manchester Opera House and Manchester in general to catch "Bat out of Hell" there.
New for 2018 will be the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff and if all goes according to plan the Takarazuka Theatre in Tokyo.

Wilton's Music Hall, which I'd never been to till this year then visited 3 times in the year. I'm so-so on it. I found it worked well for the 2 improv shows I saw there back in January but not so well for the opera I saw there last month.
Watermill Theatre, Newbury, which oddly looks a bit like a smaller Wilton's internally. Lovely location but I won't be returning in a hurry as it's a pain to get to when you're coming all the way from Cambridge.
Dominion. Yes, I'd never actually been in this before till seeing An American In Paris. Very impressive but I'm glad I was sitting front stalls as it's so huge. The back of the auditorium seems miles from the stage.
Salisbury Playhouse. Externally one of the ugliest theatre buildings I've ever seen! Internally nondescript.
Mercury Theatre, Colchester. Externally dull, internally very similar to Salisbury.

Casino De Paris, Paris (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) - Interesting as you are shown to your seat (I don't think there were numbers at all so this is required). Luckily I knew this and had the tip ready.
Regents Park Open Air Theatre (Jesus Christ Superstar) - felt like seeing a show at Wimbledon but it was amazing!
The Other Palace (Starlight Express) - rather cramped but an interesting space
Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith (Nativity! The Musical) - Massive, I knew it was big but wow. Right near the back but great view anyway, rude box office - obviously more used to gigs than theatre
Charing Cross Theatre, London (The Woman in White - Small, Great view from the back though too. I think they overdid it on the fog, even the techs were commenting on it

Except for the Grand Palais in Paris (Singin' in the Rain), which is not a theatre per se but the temporary home of the Theatre du Chatelet during its refurb, they were all London venues this year:
