Given that this is one of the biggest annual Christmas shows in this country curious to see whether any forumites ever go to see it. I live about 2 miles from the venue which is probably about the most hidden away theatre place in the country.

I have a lot of family members who have been to see it, and they've all raved about it's brilliance. Never yet managed to make it there myself, but it is on my list!

I saw a feature about it on tv once and it looked absolutely amazing. Would love to go onext year but it really is in the middle of nowhere unless you go on an organised coach trip. I promise myself I will go one day though

Unless you've already booked a ticket for this year, don't bother. It may be in the middle of nowhere, and runs from early November to late December, but it's sold out.
It just shows that if you give the public what they want, they will come, in their tens of thousands.

I did. And it looks like a Santa’s grotto type thing for kids.

Ok got it. Hmm. Looks a bit “cruise ship”.

Yes, but it also looks like the cruise ship might sink under the weight of all the performers.

Never heard of it, is it a local thing? It happens in one place.

In her later years before her death my mum would go to this every year with my Aunt Lil who lived in Norfolk and so was pretty local to the proceedings. They would go with a coach load of other old people. They loved it, in much the same way as they loved trips to the West End to see something at the Palladium or White Christmas. It was always in the calendar months in advance. I'm guessing it knows its market very well and provides an enjoyable annual outing for lots of people.
