I saw this yesterday and although it's another film you can't actually say you "enjoy" (or not), I liked it best of all Michael Haneke's recent work. Not entirely satisfying due to the lack of backstory for the many characters and of more scenes showing their interactions, but absorbing on the whole. I'm sure it's more rewarding for actors to play unsympathetic and/or more complex parts, but I do wish Isabelle Huppert would do something different from the uniformly dead-behind-the-eyes roles I seem to have seen her play in recent years; casting her has become directorial shorthand for "this woman is unpleasant" - or has that always been the case?

I was so annoyed by the conceit of the final take of Hidden that I now boycott Michael Haneke movies.
