I've seen Les Mis 33 times, but the first time was in 1986, so thats almost the equivalent to once a year. Which isnt that bad at all. Its not something i could see in quick succession. Yea that's how I feel about my favorites. When I saw "Cats" here two weeks ago, it was probably around the 40-50 times mark in total, but I saw it for the first time in 1989. And back then it was a huge deal for me to be able to go to Hamburg for a weekend so I would see it twice in one weekend before going home. I also really enjoyed seeing different productions that always looked a bit different and sounded different in foreign languages. I'm also not ashamed to confess to +50 visits to Starlight Express in Bochum in grand total. It was the only big show around here in the 90s and I often went with people who had never seen it before and wanted to be taken or with friends to see a cast change, stuff like that. However, my interest waned around the 15th anniversary mark as I grew older, had my own car and money to travel. Even other shows that aren't particular favourites of mine like Phantom or Les Mis piled up to +10 visits just by being around for so long and being in different places. These days I rarely ever bother with repeat visits, especially in London where time is so precious for a weekend tourist like me. I think my record was Priscilla, which I've seen 4 times, three times in London and once in Amsterdam (the UK-Tour). The French tour would have been my fifth visit if it hadn't been cancelled. Sniff. It's just such a uplifting cheerful show that bears repeat watching and I dragged friends along on all repeat visits.

For me it's Mary Poppins - 10 times. A combination of the Bristol opening, West End, tour and school trips. Then: Les Mis - 6 times (once in London, rest on tour stops) Mamma Mia, Phantom, Chicago - all 5 times.
I saw all the above shows relatively early in their respective runs in London so these visits are spread over a long time.

I'm surprised Cats isn't higher on my list. I've only seen it twice, once with Nicole, once with Kerry, but its one of my favourite musicals, and the VHS (I'm old!) was the reason I wanted to become a performer, so it really does hold a special place in my heart.

Counting different productions, I've seen "Sweeney Todd" maybe a dozen times.
I've seen "Les Mis" 8 times, I think, in various places - which possibly accounts for the fact that I never, ever want to see it in English again. (In French, provided there's a full orchestra and not the cut-down abomination currently being used in London, I am so there.)

"Notre Dame de Paris" 30 something times. "Whistle down the Wind" quite a lot, POTO & Les Mis a few, Hairspray 3, Lord of the Rings 3 , Cats, Starlight express 3, Woman in White 4, Spamalot twice, A Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum 2. Guys n dolls 4. I've probably forgotten loads.

Unless I've missed it, I'm surprised that, so far, nobody has mentioned Joseph etc. Including school productions and the endless BKL tour, I have literally lost count of the number of times I've seen it, including at the New London Theatre with the late Stephen Gately.
Apart from that, I've seen Les Miserables seven times, and counting, in four different cities.

Sunset Boulevard the most - 9 times so far.
Others I've seen between 5 and 8 times: Evita, Phantom, Les Mis, Cabaret, Chicago, Saigon, Gypsy, Blood Brothers.
Note - nearly all these shows have been in numerous productions over a 25 year time span. Not obsessively going to see them on a regular basis.

Wicked, REALLY?! *heart sinks*
What IS it about that show that captured a certain demopraphic/zeitgeist (much like Harry Potter films)?!?
I found it very average.

I think it depends how you go about it. I've seen Wicked 19 times, but that is over 6 and a half years, so I don't get bored of it because I don't see it all the time and make sure I don't unless Tucker is in it hahaha. But I know someone on this board who has seen Dreamgirls 12 times in the past fortnight and is going again next week. He may still enjoy it that way. It wouldn't work for me, I'd get bored, but that works for him. I shouldn't judge but I think 10 of those 12 times for Dreamgirls over a fortnight could have been spent seeing new musicals or plays, I understand people have their favourites but given how many shows are produced in a year, it seems a bit of a shame that people don't want to branch out and see shows they wouldn't normally see or venues they wouldn't normally visit. Obsessive personalities

I think by reading this thread you can guess people’s ages! Or at least when they became real West End Wendy’s. TOTALLY!

I knew my Excel sheet would eventually come in handy...
Wicked - 131 Rock of Ages - 47 Memphis - 27 Book of Mormon - 24 Avenue Q - 20 Legally Blonde - 19 Newsies - 14 Aladdin - 12 School of Rock - 10
Wicked is at the top as it's been running for ages. If Rock of Ages and especially Memphis hadn't closed that early (and if Memphis' tour hadn't been pulled), they'd have overtaken Wicked by now. However, if Newsies were to come to the UK (which is most likely never going to happen, but one may hope), that'd be another candidate to dethrone Wicked.

Doing this off the top of my head as I'm on a train so don't have my list.
Wicked somewhere around 65 Showstopper 37 (not sure that counts though!) Phantom 30 Top Hat 26 Zorro 24 Les Mis somewhere around 12 Mamma Mia ditto Lend Me A Tenor 11 Crazy For You 10
I think that's all the musicals I've seen in double figures. I am a serious repeat-viewer when I enjoy a show & I also like to try to see as many understudies as possible. Sorry I'm another one topping my list with Wicked. That was nearly all racked up 2007-9. I've only seen it 4 times since 2009.
If anyone's doing plays too then my most-seen play is The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, which I'm en route to see for the 37th time.
Disclaimer: I do not claim to be sane!

I wonder if there are any other things that you repeat attend? Concerts etc? Or is just musicals?

I wonder if there are any other things that you repeat attend? Concerts etc? Or is just musicals? Musicals are arguably the easiest type of show to repeat-view because they're the most likely to have long runs. However I for one also repeat-view plays & operas. With the latter it usually has to involve seeing different productions or revivals of the same production, since it's rare I manage to see more than 1 or 2 performances in a run, given that there will usually only be half a dozen to a dozen performances. Concerts (classical variety) are usually one-offs or only repeated in different countries so repeat-viewings are not possible.

I wonder if there are any other things that you repeat attend? Concerts etc? Or is just musicals? Back when they were still touring, I did attend several concerts of one tour from the German band Die Ärzte. They haven't been touring for quite a while now, but if they were again, I'd try to catch a few more concerts. Not sure if that counts, but I've completely lost track of how many times I've seen The Big Bang Theory.

I've seen Matilda around 25 times, only once in the past year but before that I had a crazy year going all the time, considering I stay in Scotland... I have opening night of the tour booked too.
Kinky Boots 8 or 9 times but everything else is a max of 2 times

Wicked - 18 Kinky Boots - 8 Wonderland - 5 Legally Blonde - 4 The Addams Family / Annie / Billy Elliot / Charlie and the Chocolate Factory / Dreamgirls / Grease / Joseph and the ATD / School of Rock - 2
So that's only four shows that I've seen more than twice, and a total of 12 that I've made a repeat visit to (at least if memory serves me right). It's only been this year that I've properly developed the love of theatre hence why the shows I have seen multiple times are currently running or only recently closed.

The last performance at The Other Palace I'm proud to say was the 100th time I've seen Starlight Express. Started when I was 10, so that's over the last 30 years!

Jersey Boys x5, Rock Of Ages x3 lots of other things I've seen twice. Just remembered I've also seen the Joseph tour 3 times but that's over 12 years (although I was in choir on and off for a year and half, which lead to a 9/10 year old me sneakily trying to watch what was going on in the middle of the stage from the corner of my eye without turning my head at least 30 something times... it was over a year before I got to watch it from the audience!)

Wow! I've seen at least a dozen *different* Into the Woods and probably a similar number of several other Sondheims and a bunch of Sound of Musics. But life's too short and my purse is too empty to go to see the same show dozens of times. Do you never wonder what else you might be missing?
