First preview/early in the run just to see the elevator as it wasnt at the start of previews/a free ticket/toward the end of the run, just to see if I enjoyed it more. I liked it though.

Cool, I just was curious, I usually avoided the charlie thread as people seemed to just give out about it but i thought it was a good enough show. Nothing special and not the best score but I didn't hate it.

Hairspray, Miss Saigon, Avenue Q and Wicked I have seen three times but that was with different friends and family. Everything else I've either seen twice or just once.
TBH I'd rather see lots of different shows in a year rather than the same shows over and over.

My trip this weekend to Zürich was my 25th Wicked.
After that I think it’s Avenue Q and Les Mis on about 5 or 6 each then any others just once, maybe twice.

I'm more impressed anyone can watch a show 10+ times and not get bored!

Nothing exciting for me but I'm quite early in my theatre-going days. Wicked (6) Hairspray (3) Honourable mention to Rent with 2 because it's the only other show I've seen more than once.

I'm more impressed anyone can watch a show 10+ times and not get bored! I think it depends how you go about it. I've seen Wicked 19 times, but that is over 6 and a half years, so I don't get bored of it because I don't see it all the time and make sure I don't unless Tucker is in it hahaha. But I know someone on this board who has seen Dreamgirls 12 times in the past fortnight and is going again next week. He may still enjoy it that way. It wouldn't work for me, I'd get bored, but that works for him.

I've lost my list so would like to think I am on 99 Wicked visits although I suspect I may have just gone into triple figures 🙈
No, I don't understand it either! It seems pretty ridiculous to me but that is over ten years.
I will never get why people feel the need to go several times a week, every week. Or how they can even afford it, especially the prices that Wicked charge these days.

That's still 10 times a year for you I agree though, I met a lady at Les Mis who goes every.week, do not understand how its affordable. I think there's also a difference between seeing the same production or different production of a show. I've seen two different Little Shops for example nut will probably go to see Regent's Park one two but wouldn't see any of the productions multiple times. In terms of seeing the same production I've seen Wicked (5)albeit one in Australia Blood Brothers (5) Les Miserables (3) We Will Rock You (3) Phantom (3) Everything else I think only once or twice and only really multiple viewings of those because were on for long period of time and went with different people!

I shouldn't judge but I think 10 of those 12 times for Dreamgirls over a fortnight could have been spent seeing new musicals or plays, I understand people have their favourites but given how many shows are produced in a year, it seems a bit of a shame that people don't want to branch out and see shows they wouldn't normally see or venues they wouldn't normally visit.

Oh and if we are including the ones we have been to twice, my list is fairly short so may as well add them: The Wizard of Oz, Shrek, Viva Forever!, Mamma Mia!, Les Misérables, Matilda, Cool Rider, Cats, Beautiful, Guys and Dolls, Mrs. Henderson Presents, Funny Girl, Murder Ballad, Yank and Big Fish (the second time is this week!)

I think of it like your favourite takeaway. Yes, others may be very nice too but at the back of your mind you could be thinking "I wish I'd just stuck to..." Mary Poppins is probably my second most seen at 7 (approx) visits, and that's because my Mum kept booking it. Similarly Blood Brothers at maybe five visits as well as Funny Girl. The only musical that I could see myself going to more than ten times is 42nd Street.

I like pasta for example but I couldn't eat it every day because I just get sick of eating it! It's the same with theatre and films!
