It really makes you wonder what these girls are REALLY dealing with if they all want to leave after one stint in the show. I imagine it's very tiring with being onstage all the time and the only breaks to sit down are Heart of Stone and the first part of I Don't Need Your Love. There's been issues with the girls being overworked as well, if too many are off sick it's down to the others to perform all the shows with the swings switching roles constantly. There's been times when queens have performed 9 or 10 shows in one week (the maximum is meant to be 8), they've performed sitting on a chair while injured, they've been sent between tour and London or brought in despite leaving the show months before, not officially joined the cast yet or having performed a completely different version of it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Six and I'd imagine being cast in it would be a dream for so many girls, but it must take its toll.

3 alternates and 1 swing is simply not enough but until they move to a theatre which has more sufficient backstage facilities (to my understanding the Arts dressing rooms are the windows on the upper floor on the front of the building, and are TINY), with more space for costume storage, and performers.

I know everyone keeps mentioning this, but they only have what 10 people? Closer to Heaven had at least double that and managed ok.

I'd be overjoyed if Vicki came back (incidentally I thought she was wonderful as Cleves) I've seen her playing all the queens though, and I wouldn't care who she played as long as she was there! How about Lauren Byrne taking over from Natalie if she does leave? Lauren's a great Jane Seymour.

I'm probably being unfair as I think I saw her very first performance as Cleves, it was very early on in her run.

The cast change for the London production would have been HUGE if this whole situation hadn't happened, supposedly 7/10 were going to be leaving.

Again, this could be completely untrue but it seems plausible to me.

Standing room seems to have been made available at the back of the stalls for every performance upon reopening.
I suppose this will be sold first-come first-served at the box office. Oh won’t this turn into a bun fight!
All jokes aside, I guess it shows they’re willing to introduce stuff like this to boost revenue after Covid.

Some kind of Twitter furore between actors and fangirls about bootlegs.
Can't massively make head nor tail of it, but certainly there is some nutty behaviour around this show.

^Yeah...so called ‘fans’ have been posting pirate versions of the show(me hearties) and then when YT takes them down they are being re-posted under a new coded name that the fans share amongst themselves. The cast/creatives are pi**ed off because it breaks copyright and lessens the chance of future audiences wanting to see the show if they’ve already seen it on YT. Also a grainy bootleg doesn’t give the full live experience.
Another day,another SIX soap-opera....yawn!

One one hand I see where the cast are coming from - I'd feel uncomfortable seeing unauthorised videos of myself on the internet with a comments feature that anyone can say anything on. But on the other hand, I feel like the whole situation is being blown out of proportion a bit - most people I know that actively watch bootlegs does it because they live abroad/far away from London or a tour venue and know they won't be able to afford to come to the actual theatre in terms of the travel and stuff, but would do anything to see the show in person if they were able to do so. Not trying to justify bootlegging - it is illegal for a reason - but there are two reasonable sides to the argument in my opinion.

There's absolutely no proof whatsoever (in fact, the contrary) that bootlegs harm ticket sales. Not only do the numbers don't stack up, but people who'd seek and watch bootlegs are repeat attenders and who'd see the show live (perhaps repeatedly) if they are able to. This is not even an "accessibility" case that I'm trying to make, it's just stupid to actually believe that a regular theatre-goer would rather watch a bootleg over seeing the show live.

Not entirely unsympathetic, but the creatives might do well to remember that THEY opened the door by encouraging people to video the Megasix finale on their phones and then post it online, and those posted fan clips were instrumental in building the word of mouth that transformed it from a fringe show into a commercial hit.

I've very occasionally watched parts of them on YouTube and always find even if its a show I really love I never enjoy it very much, you can't beat being there in person and watching one would never make me not buy a ticket!

I’ve never watched a bootleg of a show I haven’t already paid for and seen live. The only 2 I’ve ever watched all the way through are Six which I have paid to see 11 times and The Great Comet which I paid to see 8 times. The quality is abysmal for the most part and they aren’t exactly entertaining, but if there was a DVD or Blu-ray I’d purchase it. There isn’t so this is the only option if you’re in the mood and considering neither show is accessible atm I really don’t see a problem. I will definitely be paying to see Six again and would be at Great Comet in a heartbeat if it ever shows up again. I don’t even usually watch clips or performances of shows I haven’t seen as nothing really captures to what they are going to be like anyways. I avoided Hamilton for years because I’d never seen anything from it that sold me on it, but then I finally caved and ended up seeing it 3 times in a month.

i stumbled onto a bootleg on YT. it was titled something like Six Wives Documentary, to try and avoid it being taken down. i watched about 5 mins. Filmed on a phone from the very sides of the auditorium, the picture was bad and the sound even worse. Why would anyone want to sit through that?? Of course the comments were all arguing who was their favourites...
I agree that the producers have encouraged the filming.
I also saw a recording that someone did from Dreamgirls in NYC in the eighties. Video cameras were huge back then. How do you secretly film with that on your shoulder?? The lengths people go to amazes me.

If it’s the recording I’m thinking of, it actually started off as an HD recording but it obviously got taken off quite quickly - the various copies of it will be screen recorded versions of the original.
