Does anyone know if they stopped to do an announcement? Or did Courtney just run on in a completely different costume and hope everyone got the gist?

She seemed to take part in the Mega-Six in this show: yeah I just saw this video too, so I'm confused where this whole "she didn't take part" came from. 😂 Oh, no I didn’t mean the megasix. A friend who saw her in Glasgow said during the show as a whole eg Ex-Wives, Holein, Six, she wasn’t ready early involved in the choreography.

I was in seeing the show tonight, it really was something special.
The cast have been plagued by illness for a long time, so the only 8 shows each thing has pretty much gone out of the window this week, Grace did all 10 and Vicki and Courtney each did 9. Millie also did 9, and Jaye'J 9 and a half.
Natalie has, as previously mentioned, had an ear infection which means that she can't put the ear pieces in which help all of the queens hear the band when performing. She did one show earlier this week when they were a few cast members down without them in, but it's impractical not being able to hear if you're in time or not.
Alexia has been off sick since Thursday, Aimie injured her shoulder during last night's show and Maiya has been on holiday this week. At this afternoon's matinee they had Courtney on for Seymour, Genesis returning for Cleves, Grace for Howard and Vicki for Parr as they needed four covers. Courtney has had a sinus infection for a couple of weeks but has been unable to take any time off to recover so has been persevering, but after the matinee said she wasn't well enough to do the evening, so Natalie, who has been in the building all this week as emergency standby, went on tonight. She did put her ear pieces in which I think was probably because she decided one show with them was better than the alternative. As they need a standby, Courtney stayed backstage despite being unwell. At the end of No Way, Jaye'J started to get a nose bleed, which then continued and apparently made her feel very faint. She ran off at one point, only to return a few minutes later, but ran off again just before Get Down. The company manager came on at the end of Get Down to say that Jaye'J was indisposed and Courtney would be playing Aragon for the remainder of the performance.
Maiya is back on Tuesday but Courtney now has a week's holiday (and I doubt would be able to perform even if she didn't). I have no idea who will be on on Tuesday but it's a lottery as to whether they will have enough cast members without asking back more former cast.

She joined the girls for the Mega-Six but for the rest of the show she stood at the side with a script on a table beside her (well it was kinda hidden off stage but my seat looked into the SR wings so I could see her checking it out a lot). She did a fantastic job for just stepping in a the last minute but I know some people around me were confused as to why she wasn't really taking part.

Does anyone know if they stopped to do an announcement? Or did Courtney just run on in a completely different costume and hope everyone got the gist? I saw it tonight, first time. The stage manager/producer whoever came on beforehand to say about how they had illness going around and the aforementioned person stepped in at short notice after a years break. But then again, the same person reappared with about 25 minutes left of the show and stopped it briefly to say about how a replacement had been made, Excellent, vibrant fun and funny show btw with some catchy tunes . Great stuff in an intimate setting.

Sounds like a great show for a first visit.
How amazing theatre standbys and understudies are. I'm in awe of their talent!

Travelling down from Manchester for the show today- anyone know the chance of it going ahead? Pretty much certain, I'd have thought - Maiya is back from holiday today, and while lots of different people were ill over the weekend, it's likely that at least some of them will now be well enough to perform. It's definitely one of those shows where I wouldn't want to predict who's going to be on, though - it could be anywhere from full cast to all available covers on.

Courtney's on holiday and Grace is scheduled to be on for Aimie, so as long as Alexia or Natalie aren't both still ill we should be fine, fingers crossed!

Box office and todaytix do them: £25. No reports from anyone, though. The box office do day seats? That's the first I've heard of it.
Edit: I guess it might be anything spare going for that day's show - which in most cases is going to mean they won't have any, as they're already sold out.

I've wondered for a while, is there any reason why it seems so rare to have all six of the actual lead Queens on stage together at any one point. I haven't seen the show yet and there seems to be no reliability as to seeing all six of them together for a first timer because there is always at least one or two ill, on holiday or on their scheduled show off. It's really odd to see.

It's mostly because their scheduled shows off tend to be spread out over the week I suspect so the scheduled shows off are spread over 5-6 shows a week. I've seen Courtney and Grace and both have been equally as good as the principal cast member they were covering for - so you're not missing out if you get one of the standbys.

I just have to see the other four, I just have too. 😍😍

Millie and Alexia were my favourites by miles! They were so funny, and Alexia's facial expressions are fabulous! They would be the two I would be most disappointed not to see (although I do also want to see the new swings, so I wouldn't be heartbroken.)

I'm ever so nervous they may be slowly heading toward a Broadway run when the show really is more suited to a small Off-Broadway house.

Aren't Chicago and A.R.T the two big places that shows usually try out before Broadway? And they are doing both.
Interesting.

I've seem the show twice:
1st Time - Jaye'J, Millie, Natalie, Alexia, Aimie, Maiya 2nd Time - Renee, Millie, Natalie, Alexia, Aimie, Grace
I enjoyed both shows but I am SO glad I got to see the 6 current leads. I appreciate that Grace is very talented and a superstar for covering all the queens, but I did find her voice to be a little weaker than the rest. I absolutely love Natalie and Maiya's voices and Millie and Alexia are so entertaining to watch.

I've also seen it twice:
1st time- Jaye'J, Millie, Natalie, Alexia, Aimie, Maiya 2nd time - Grace, Millie, Natalie, Alexia, Vicki, Maiya (yesterday!)
Also so glad I got to see the six leads together- they really are a force.
I think Vicki was a great Howard, and in some respects even better than Aimie as she really does play the young naivety very well.
I was impressed with Grace yesterday however from Mega Six videos I do prefer her as Howard and Seymour, she didn't quite have Jaye'J's sass.

I've seen it three times (although two of them were on the same day). First time round was the main cast in Cambridge, right at the start, and then last time was at Christmas in Manchester, where Grace was on for Parr. I enjoyed her more than Maiya, I thought she was funnier.
