It may be illegal to write about the X-Factor reality TV show on this message board. However, I have big expectations for some of the performances tonight. There are 3 or 4 really good female singers still in the show. Particularly looking forward to Alisah singing Praying For Time.

Rak-su just murdered Faith. It was horrible - out of tune. Dreadful staging with too much pyro and lots of dad dancing.
GM would have hated it. He was a proper singer.

I liked that version of Careless Whisper - the slow dance at almost every one of my teenage discos! Not that it did me any good then!

I like Jack and Joel - but wish they had sung a better song. Club Tropicana or Wake Me Up would have been better

No - but they are the most musically literate and talented in their category. And so many of the others find it impossible to hold a tune.
Hopefully they will go on to get some work - they really can sing (as their YouTube performances prove)

I have no idea what Alisah was singing about. It was a generic ballad performance with key changes and pyros. Nothing original. Nothing to challenge anyone.

Yes, afterwards Alisah said she tried not to get too emotional. She should have let the tears out. I was hoping a tear would role down her cheek as she was singing the song. She did not go there.

Poor Sam should have nailed that - but he was out of tune for most of it.
Now we get Grace doing a song that GM covered - so getting the Cutkelvin treatment.

Another GM cover rather than one of his originals. And Rae-elle can't handle ballads. Pitchy at the start. Lacking in musicality throughout. Her worst performance by far

Lloyd can really sing. I suspect he isn't a recording artist - but I could easily see him develop into a future Michael Ball if he can act...
