I have nothing to add to this discussion on hoodies but I am happy to join caiaphas Kind Citizen Award in seeing who has the most interesting wardrobe! With me is Widow Twanky, played by Kent Baker, in the adult pantomime 'Aladdin' presented by the Aba Daba Music Hall in the old Pindar of Wakefield in Gray's Inn Road, King's Cross, now The Water Rats.

@caiaphas you are making me giggle with your personality changes! (Though I am still in shock as to your result in your RE O level )

Now you mention it I have seen the last two rather a lot and upon thinking about it suspect that soldiers possibly do not hug this much pre/during battle as much in real life, fortunately have escaped the rapping.

I give in and concede victory to caiaphas Barrister in the best outfit competition. How can I compete with a svelte, attractive young man at a coffee machine? I retire defeated! Oh, and I agree with a total ban on hoodies!

Sadly the likes of the RSC, who have enormous stylistic influence of course well beyond their own productions, have been instrumental in often giving us a monochrome vision of Shakespeare, a faux-authenticity which looks plausible but is neither accurate nor original. The boots, the musicians, the jerkins etc... and of course the huggy-feely way they think we should behave which for them fits every historical period and every geographical situation as far as they are concerned.
