A new single will be played on Radio 2 tomorrow morning. Think this was being worked on when he so tragically died .
A posthumous single from the late George Michael is to receive its first radio play tomorrow.
The late star's publicist has confirmed that the song will be premiered on BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show with Chris Evans tomorrow morning (September 7). The statement reads:
"Sony Music proudly presents a single by the late George Michael. Tune in to The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 tomorrow, Thursday 7th September at 9am for the first play.’"

Given George only released 4 original albums in his solo career, there was always rumours of unreleased songs and apparently he had been working on material with Nile Rodgers.
There is a rumour that the "new" track is called Fantasy and originally appeared as a bonus track on a Faith reissue a few years back.

Yes it was an old track remixed by Nile. It was supposed to be on the Listen without Prejudice album but got 'lost' and was a subsequent b side.Just heard the track and it sounds quite fresh.

There was always supposed to be a Listen Without Prejudice Volume 2 and the Trojan Souls duets album. A number of tracks for LWP Vol 2 including Too Funky were put on the Red Hot and Dance charity album.
Also George did a number of new tracks for his Greatest Hits collections so some of these tracks may have been used there.
George also said writing Patience album was hard work so if he'd had decent stuff in the vaults it doesn't appear to have been used there.
He may have a few unreleased tracks but no treasure trove of unreleased albums. Also if he didn't feel the material was to his liking to be released then, I don't think it will be released now out of respect for George.
