It seems like I am forever expressing my sympathy and sending my love to the victims of cowardly terrorist attacks, I do this gladly but wish I didn't have to ( hope that makes sense )

Same. A real shock this morning (I didn't see any news at all yesterday, which lately is a bit of a blessing sanity-wise). It seems the city is taking a bit of a 'keep going' attitude which is unfortunatly increasingly all we can all do.

Love and prayers and courage to the victims of this terrible attack. We are all Barcelona (and London and Paris and ...)

I know. Really awful. Been to Barcelona many times and have very good friends there. They are still in shock but in spite of that they are taking, as emicardiff says, the 'keep going' attitude refusing to live in fear

Mi querida Barcelona.
TV and radio reporters are expressing slight disbelief that Las Ramblas is bustling again today - but that's what I love about this place. People get out and talk and do, instead of burying their heads in phones and tablets.
Mi corazón está roto💔
Edit: For those who don't know (and why would you?) My username is the name of the metro stop (Avenida Tibidabo, on the Ferrocarrils de Cataluña) where I lived for several years. (It's also the name of the mountain on the outskirts of Barcelona.)

We are all Barcelona (and London and Paris and ...) It's getting to the stage where it'll be quicker to list those European cities that haven't had terrorist attacks than those that have.

Thoughts to Spain. My favourite country in the world.
