I'm a big fan of this wonderful performer, having seen her in many things. Feel free to share your thoughts She has a unique voice and very distinctive, unlike alot of performers these days who all sound alike....

My sister saw her in Joseph way back and said how she had hiccups for the duration of the opening number

She was recently touring in Barnum, with Brian Conley.
She was SO good in Joseph, I listen to Pharoah Story alot. Hiccups for a performer must be a nightmare.

Love her, but she always seems to angle her head upwards when singing resulting in a strained sound/look...

Went to her Singular Sensations show today at Charing Cross Theatre. Nice way to spend an afternoon, she speaks engagingly and openly - for example, finding her role in Mary Poppins very difficult, as they'd changed how the character was written from the movie, meaning people were expecting something very different.
She sang several songs, mostly from her career, but a couple from other roles in musicals she'd done, and one or two that were just songs she enjoyed. Was nice to discover Meadowlark from The Baker's Wife, something I don't think I'd ever heard before, but is really good and has already been added to my Spotify list.

I went and found it odd that she said she found it comfortable doing cabaret with little chat, yet I found her delightful on stage and refreshingly honest. I also found it interesting that she said Barnum was the first tour she had done and she wasn't so keen on touring. She also mentioned that they had 'dangled the carrot' for a West End transfer but couldn't find a theatre.

Roxie hasnt arrived here yet then, she'll have plenty to say about Linzi. Will give her a prod.

Hiccups for a performer sounds quite unusual - my best method of getting rid of hiccups is singing a song that relies on good breath control. If I'm alone in the house or driving, a loud belty song usually does the trick, or if I need to keep the volume low, then a speedy patter song with limited opportunity to take a breath works just as well. Hiccups are just an out-of-control diaphragm, and if there's one thing musical theatre performers are skilled at, it's keeping their diaphragm under control.

Hello hello I'm here!!!!! Thanks for the nudge Queenie!!
I went to Singular Sensations Sunday just gone and Linzi was great!! She did really well, although in the loos afterwards I heard an older lady saying she was a bit boring, which I thought a tad unfair.
She's going back into Mamma Mia in June so I'll be seeing her in that probably August time. Gone are the days when I could pick up a front row ticket for £25 and go about every other month!!
Lovely lady and talented performer. I've met her several times over the past decade or so and although she is very shy she always spares me a coupla mins to chat. Very talented, gracious and humble lady. No diva antics, very down to earth.

I'm so stupid for not going to this!
I've loved Linzi since she was the first (adult) person I ever saw on stage in a musical (Joseph at the Palladium), and have loved her in everything I've seen her in since.

I heard her in Joseph when I was 10 and fell in love with her voice then but it took me till I was about 22 to actually get to see her in anything (Chicago) she was excellent in Barnum last year aswell. Looking forward to seeing her in Mamma Mia again, despite the ticket prices!!!

Loved her in Joseph - sadly have only seen her a couple of times since (Mary Poppins and Mamma Mia) but she was wonderful in both.

I've seen her in mamma Mia a coupla of times since I last posted here and she is brilliant! If anything, it's a more sincere performance than her last run as I think now she has a nearly grown daughter she can identify with the character more and 'slipping through my fingers' is especially heart-wrenching! She also is still the same lovely down to earth lady, gracious and considerate. think she's gotten used to me now! I took my mum back in the summer and my mum LOVED it! And Linzi! We're doing the tour when it comes to Stoke!

Anyone see Linzi at the Oliviers last week? Personally, I thought she was very good and it made this Joseph fan very happy to see her and Jason reunited. Also a really nice red carpet interview with her, Danielle Hope and Gok Wan.

Also, I saw Linzi, Louise Dearman, Kerry Ellis and Victoria Hamilton-Barrett in a concert in Manchester just after Christmas called Leading Ladies. All four were spectacular and worked together very well!

Like many others, Joseph was my first untoroduction to proper theatre, and inspired a lifetime love of musical theatre in particular for me.

Linzi tweeted earlier about going to a first sing through of an iconic role in one of her favourite musicals. Anyone got any idea what this could be?
I would pay to see her sing the phone book. Would be great to see her in a new role.

I took from the replies that it was Blood Brothers. And she said it was non-West End, so I'm guessing Mrs Johnstone in the UK tour.
If so, I will definitely be booking to see this.

I know what it is!!! It’s GOOD! 🤐🤐🤐 already booked! If it's open for public booking then surely there is no reason why you can't say what it is. Teasing people with a hint that you have inside knowledge for the sake of it isn't very considerate in my book.

Just confirming that it’s good news! It’s not been announced yet though so I can’t say, but it is not dissapointing! A lot of people on here have inside knowledge and say what they can. Not teasing, just confirming it’s something epic! i apologise if it came across as inconsiderate, that was not my intention.

Many performers and shows do not like people announcing on social media who's in what before they have announced it themselves. But the replies to her recent tweets were pretty obvious.
