Kelli is going to be so busy. She's going to have a bash at 'Kiss Me Kate' on Broadway after this. A four year break off Broadway is huge for Kelli so I'm not surprised shes going back! Only five more nominations before she wins again though so yay her!

The announcement of her doing Kiss Me Kate was SO meh. So is she only doing revivals now?

Kelli is going to be so busy. She's going to have a bash at 'Kiss Me Kate' on Broadway after this. She is doing an opera before King and I at the Met Opera so it’s a busy 2018!

I’m think the fact is her vocal style doesn’t really suit many musicals written these days. She’s too lyrical for them.
The few exceptions like Light in the Piazza and Madison County- she was in!

Bloody hell it’s expensive isn’t it! I know it’s potentially only a month or so limited run so it’ll probably still sell but a) £35 for the cheapest seats is outrageous. I’m surprised they’re advertising this as “from £15” when there aren’t any at that price (at least that I can see - I’ll retract this statement if I’m just being thick!) but to a lot of people £35 is still expensive, so it’s not exactly inclusive pricing. b) £35 to sit row J in the Upper! c) no discounts during previews, full whack from day one.
I think I’m gonna gamble on this one and not book yet. I don’t see it as a show that the general public will flock to, I’ll just have to hope that I’m not underestimating it’s popularity and that it’ll appear on TodayTix or do day seats or something. Or even better, hopefully the long-rumoured tour will actually happen:

The pricing here is crazy. It’s all over the place. I don’t think £35 is too bad for back of the upper circle (considering what you can end up paying at the back of the upper circle over at The Lion King) but the inconsistency in price compared to quality of view is ludicrous. How can a seat in the middle of the upper circle (where you end up looking around people’s heads to see the stage) only be worth £10 less than a seat right up front by the stage.
I’m presumably the £15 will be those first two rows of the upper circle which are normally a reduced price - none of them seem to be on sale from what I can see...

That's it?! It's running from late June until early August? Why even bother? No wonder prices are so high. They'd be more profitable making it a longer run and adding a better mix of ticket prices.

There will be some idiot who will pay it. I'll wait for discounts or comps.
Is anyone actually going to see this other than for the reason of seeing Kelli O'Hara live? I mean, come on now.

Outside this forum no one knows who Kelli O'Hara is. Now that I think of it, many people on this forum wouldn't even know who Madam O'Hara is.

Wonder if it’s the broadway production? A friend saw that and said the set was fantastic, and wants to go again, but I wonder if the same production would fit the Palladium stage, which is very shallow? Has there been a US tour which used a different set?

Or even better, hopefully the long-rumoured tour will actually happen: The best deals to be had are 95% on the day, the exception being Hamilton. When I saw this production of TKAI in New York I'd pre-booked back row of the circle for something close to $100 each for my family. Better tickets were on TKTS for $80.

I'm the idiot, I've booked already. Maybe there'll be better prices on the day, but by the time next June rolls around, I'll have forgotten ever paying for it. If it's shot itself in the foot with pricing, maybe I'll get an upgrade. If not, at least I have the affordable seat of my choice rather than risking being shunted off into some weird corner because the seats with decent visibility all sold first. (And yes, I'm primarily going because I want to see Kelli. I've seen Audra, I've got Patti booked, I *will* tick off all the Broadway greats without setting foot outside the M25! Bring me Bernadette Peters and Sutton Foster next please!)

A VERY short run....is an extension planned if it sells well?
I don't think it will appeal to the general public at these crazy prices. I will await deals nearer the time. No-one knows who Kelli O'Hara is here, just like they didn't know who Audra McDonald is.
This premium pricing lark is getting ridiculous too. Gone are the days when it was just several rows of the front centre stalls. Here a top price ticket (£75) only gets you side and back stalls, when once upon a time it would have bought you the best seats in the house! The entire front centre section of the stalls and dress circle are £95!

I'll be in London one week too late, so I'm glad I don't need to bother with the whole "Should I...?" question. I'd like to say "if it extends, I'd be interested in a deal" but that's sort of a contradiction in terms. If they need to do deals, they probably won't extend

All the best seats which years ago may have been £49 now routinely anything from £69.50 to £100 or something equally outlandish. A decent (but not necessarily premium) seat at a play in the WE is £65. Ticket prices have gotten completely out of hand. Sheer greed on the part of producers. And we're mugs for paying them on the occasions when we do. Letting them get away with it.

The days of premium seats being just a few rows at the front are certainly long gone now. In effect, premium seats are the new “Band A”, when they fill as much of the good seats as with this show.
I do think it’s shocking though that they’re allowed to say “ticket prices £35-£75. Premium seats are available” when the reality of the situation is “ticket prices £35-£99”.
