When does Baz usually announce things? Is that what we're waiting on?

For me long running on the West End is 2+ years, Broadway 5+.

Presumably that just means "long running" in terms of being planned as an open-ended run rather than a limited one... I'd be interested to know what is classed as 'long running' these days. Les Miserables or Phantom of the Opera long; 1,000 performances; a couple of years; recoup of investment? I would have previously said 2+ years, but now anything that passes a case change which seem a bit more of a rarity.

So by this 2+ year thing, Kinky Boots becomes the next long-runner when it hits its 2 years in September?

Latest update is that the Phoenix is going to be dark for a couple of weeks, then have two "short running" shows, followed by a " long running" show. Surely it's for the audience to decide what's long running. I'm sure both BILB and The Girls were intended to be 'long running'. That's why I put them in inverted commas - I guess "limited run" and "open ended" may have been a better choice of words.

Could Ink's glowing reviews lead to a fast-tracked West End transfer? It ends on 5th August, the same date Beautiful vacates the Aldwych. It could do a nice little run before Tina Turner if the theatre size works and if the cast is available.
