Do we get the sense this show is becoming a little desperate in its final weeks?... Yeah I'd say so, and greedy but that has been happening since announcement for The Other Palace. This show, especially as of late, has really been leaving a bad vibe. I'm glad I've seen it earlier on, because I wouldn't of bothered otherwise now.

Olivia said on her Instagram Story that a personal area popped out during "Dead Girl Walking" last night. God, you can just imagine the outrage of all the parents having to usher their kids out. 😂😂

I ordered my ticket over an hour ago & still haven’t gotten a confirmation email yet- is that normal for this production?
Usually I get an email immediately

Meanwhile do continue my Theatreboard proposal planning ...I fear this is turning into a mass wedding The reverend Sun Myung* Burly officiating, presumably. *One for us oldies, there. Indeedio, most here will not have a clue what that's about!

Saw this during the week for the first time. I thought it was an okay show but wasn't crazy about it and didn't get the hype. In saying that I am not the target audience for this show so that's probably the reason for me not 'getting it'!
Fletcher was very good but for me the show was stolen by Jamie Muscato. What an incredible actor. The heather's were a mixed bag for me, I was not a fan of green heather. I thought she wasnt a very good actress and as for her diction well I couldn't make out a word of what she said. I felt she was the weakest of the three. Yellow heather was great in what basically is a two and half hour audition for Galinda in wicked (Kristin Chenoweth vibes galore) Red heather was the standout, mainly because she had a great voice and very funny but also because she looked incredibly miscast. I don't ever comment on performers personal lives or looks but the actress playing red heather looked quite old. I apologize if she isn't but she clearly isn't in the playing age range for a high school teen and it just looked silly. She looked old enough to be playing one of their mothers tbh.
I am glad I got to see it but once is enough.

I went to this last night because I had to see what the fuss was about. I know I'm not the target audience but I'm an open-minded guy and a fan of Larry O'Keefe's work. The place was packed and CHF was out. But since I'm not a member of her cult, that really didn't matter to me. To put it simply, it's not my show. It's almost everything I hate about contemporary musical theatre. It's slap-dash and lazy in its construction, the physical production is cheap and ugly, the performances by and large are second rate ( seriously , I saw many of the performers when they were on stage but not the focus, looking out at the audience not at what they should have been looking at on stage - what sort of amateur behavior is this? ) There was one song that I felt "landed" properly 17 Again or whatever its called, the right song, in the right place with the right characters and their conflicting emotions. Everything else was a dire mess. I'm glad I went and was happy to see what the fuss was about but Christ what an awful show. Oh and as it is a Bill Kenwright show don't worry, it'll be back whenever a theatre needs a quick booking. Ugh!

God, you can just imagine the outrage of all the parents having to usher their kids out. 😂😂 I was front of the circle and it was barely noticeable - she might have felt 'out' but from the audience it just looked like she was quickly adjusting in order to avoid a wardrobe malfunction, not that there had already been one. A bit awkward but that was all.

Carrie still saying she's got a horrible cold on twitter. So she may not be on for the next couple of shows if she isn't through it sadly. Great for Olivia though, and actually a great thing for the younger fans to learn the true value of an understudy!

Haven't seen much theatre lately, but since I had a free slot during this weekend's trip to London, I did see Heathers on Friday, mostly to see what all the fuss is about - and to finally tick the Theatre Royal, Haymarket off the list.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this show at all. Legally Blonde has one of my all time favourite scores, but I really disliked Heathers' score, it was just loud and untuneful and I'll definitely give the London Cast Recording a miss. The set looked cheap, cast were OK and I didn't care for anyone and couldn't wait for the show to be finally over.
Having seen Mean Girls on Broadway a few weeks ago, this show is so much better.

Hahaha I saw this and against all my expectations I loved it. Lurid, bitchy and loud - also Jamie Muscato's floppy hair is a thing now.
The ushers all had coloured scrunchies on their wrists too which was cute.

Due to the complaints, the production are now offering exchanges or refunds to those who want them who have already booked for the sing-along performance.

According to WestEndCovers on twitter, Carrie is back tonight.
On another note, was there any word on the release date of the cast recording? Since discovering the show a couple of weeks ago, the original recording on Spotify has been my go-to on the commute to work!

There was a study a few years back that showed the more flamboyant the proposal, the less likely it is that the couple will stay together long-term. Also, the guy didn't think this one through. What's happy and spontaneous in a theatre will sound very different from the dock in court. Particularly given the theme of the show, indeed... Just if anyone on Theatreboard wants to propose please do not do it on stage Hi so im the girl who was proposed to yes he new what the musical was about, although it about murder, they sing how their love is god. The reason my other half propsed (if you watch the video) is because i love the musical, esipally heather as it my favioute movie and also the first movie we watched together. I hope one day you will find someone who makes you as happy as my other half does, instead of being negative about an amazing gesture.

Veronica also abandons JD after he physically harms her, and after it turns out he wants to, uh, murder everyone in the school. He's a nutcase, she's gullible. I'm sure it's very sweet and I wish you well (as does everyone else on this board, I imagine!) but the reasoning is a bit funny. Incidentally some acquaintances of mine got engaged after he quoted something from The Taming of the Shrew to her (she's called Kate). It's a play about appalling domestic violence...

I agree but I don't think he was thinking about the context and how it relates to our life (far from that at all). why is the reasoning funny may i ask? He wanted to propose and i was desprate to see heathers!! (Its incredible btw)

Can't we all just be pleased for Sarah and her fiance, without any further analysis. It's their engagement, not ours, and as long as they're happy that's all that really matters.
