Everyone should book as there are seats as cheap as chips and a group drink before?

Just got a couple of rear stall seats for £18 each. Now that's a bargain I've never been to the RFH before - are the rear stalls ok? Edit: Went for it. A drink beforehand sounds good, too.

Yes, I sat there for the Ring Cycle - I was in pretty much the worst seat in the stalls, right at the side on the second row from the back. View of the screen was fine, you could see the orchestra and singers but not great if you want to see faces of the singers.
Given the choice I'd go for £26 at the front rather than £18 near the back. The back couple of rows are £12 which is a better deal.
I've also been at the back of the circle for "Napoleon" - again, fine for seeing the screen and orchestra but not faces.

I will be seeing Sondheim on Sondheim at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday. According to an interview with Sondheim published in today's L.A. Times, this will be the World Premiere of a new symphonic version of the original Broadway production. As it will also be available for licensing, it sounds like what you will be seeing at RFH.

Four songs from Passion - I love it. A lot of it's up on YouTube.

You couldn't fairly ask for much more from that setlist.

Looked on the SouthBank site today funny enough, still no news seems odd. Performers must have been booked by now?

Do you think it's going to be recorded for radio broadcast? It's the BBC concert orchestra so maybe they will. There was a Sondheim concert a few years ago at the RFH with same orchestra and it was amazing. I forget who was in it now but it was a great line up.
