I had to look at the date when I read this, no, it's not April 1st, it's actually happening. www.heavenonearththemusical.co.uk/aboutA musical telling the story of Adam and Eve. Yes, really. Kerry Ellis and Russell Watson. Wembley Arena and Arenas around the UK in 2018.

Four nights at Wembley Arena, apparently, so they're thinking big.

But it also says it's playing Portsmouth Guildhall, so it can't be that big. What an odd choice of venues...

Darn it, thought we had a Belinda Carlisle jukebox musical on our hands there for a moment!

Fantasic - been waiting for this to transfer. Houston and Levitt are one of my favourite writing teams. When i saw it on broadway there was a fantasic chorus girl named Ivy Lynn... i wonder what happened to her?

When i saw it on broadway there was a fantasic chorus girl named Ivy Lynn... i wonder what happened to her? She went on to play Marilyn in Bombshell after Karen Cartwright pulled out and eventually won the Best Actress in a Musical Tony

Kerry Ellis as Eve, Hugh Maynard as Adam and Russell Watson as the voice of God (not appearing live on stage). Not sure how this is going to sell out Arenas.......

Goodness. I'm willing to bet it'll be nowhere near as fun as 'Adam & Eve . . and Steve' at the King's Head recently.

Well damn. Are these people really arena selling people, in a show no one has heard of? I can see this going one way... My first thought was the musical in Smash that Megan Hilty is a chorus girl in before joining the Marilyn musical.

Does this video not persuade you to book immediately? Take a look at @manchesterarena's Tweet:

Worst trailer I've ever seen! It's definitely not Kerry in the ad either as she went a full 30 seconds without tucking her hair behind her ears

Mrs Henderson Presents proved that stage nudity doesn't necessarily sell out a West End theatre. But perhaps it will do on tour.

Looks dreadfully naff.
Also, after seeing Kerry's hairtucking and acting with all the finesse of a fork-lift truck last night I can't quite see her pulling this one off.

Here is the video too (the twitter one didn't work for me).
I must admit, when they said Russell Watson as The Voice of God I nearly spat my tea out.

I mean, at least they've been sensible and got actual MT performers for the show, and the name that your average non-theatregoer will probably recognise just to do a voiceover and therefore not risk potentially questionable acting skills *cough* Alfie Boe *cough*. It may look naff, but they've avoided the usual things that gain criticism on this board in terms of casting.
