After successfully getting my ATG account reset for emails, leaving the theatre this evening I was faced with an email from ATG with the subject heading - “Fancy a bit of Dick?” Ok, this is certainly a different level of customer service from ATG! 😮 At least it was just an email about the Dick Whittington production at the Phoenix Theatre.

How did you manage that? I’ve been trying for at least three years! Six weeks since I logged my “feedback” using their web form. Acknowledgement received with a query reference number about a month ago but no actual reply.

I've been chasing a wrongly-charged transaction fee for about 6 months. It's £3.65 but it's now become my life's mission to get it back.

BurlyBeaR , After trying the online options and getting nowhere, I ended up giving the so called dedicated TC number a ring one evening. Stuck on hold for a good 20 minutes or so and racking up my phone bill but finally managed to speak to a customer adviser who ended up resetting my account comms preferences. Since then I’ve been getting the presale stuff and physical brochures one again. At the moment it is still working but who knows for how long?

ATG vouchers which I’ve been unable to use expired in May 2021. I accepted a voucher plus an extra credit of £10 at the start of the covid pandemic , to leave my cash in place pending theatres reopening. I’m trying to find out if my voucher is still valid , but no response to emails so far . Has anyone any experience in this respect ?

I tried to use a voucher and it turned out to be expired, emailed and got a new code within 2 days. It’s the only thing I’ve had a quick response on.

I have a feeling I'm going to regret this but... looking at moving my Moulin Rouge booking from next week to later in the run given the current Covid cancellations and possible cast changes.
The card offers "No quibble ticket exchange" to another date. I've never used it. I booked MR when priority booking opened and the same seats are now twice as expensive in January and February. Does the exchange work for "transfer to the same class of seat" or "transfer to the same price of seat" which would put me in a much worse seat...
This is of course assuming I can get them to action the change prior to next Tuesday when I am scheduled to go.

Good luck with that. I’d suggest not bothering with the email contact form. Ring them but be prepared to wait a long time to be answered.
I have used the ticket exchange benefit a few times and it’s fine as long as you can speak to them to select your new seat from what’s available at the time wgen you call.

From my experience with ATG, it's a transfer to the same class of seat and paying any increase in price.

Datapoint: Submitted a webform request to move my Moulin Rouge booking at 4.31 yesterday afternoon. Email received from ATG at 11.39 this morning offering me replacement seats for the dates I had suggested. Unfortunately, their policy is "same price of ticket" not "same ticket" so my row H seats were now back in row R. Decided to ask for a credit voucher instead - given the word of mouth for the previews I might wait until a cast change or decide not to go at all. Customer Services rep went the extra mile to check a bunch of other dates to see if she could get me closer for the same price, but was not able to, so ended up getting the credit voucher a little while ago. No complaints about that service (but a complaint about the "no quibble" rebooking not being a like-for-like rebooking)

ATG have posted on Facebook they are having a January sale for cardholders, but I've not had any emails or links. Has anyone else had one?

Is the ATG card worth it? I had one years ago and felt it was good value at the time - it was usually 50% off all seats on opening nights at the 2 non-West End theatres I used it at (Milton Keynes and Aylesbury,) which meant I saved a lot of money. However, I renewed and they seemed to stop all of the 50% off for opening night sales and the discounts then mostly consisted of £10 off, or, for most performances, just no booking fees. The following year I cancelled. Even now on the ATG website, if you're not a member, you can't really see what prices are available other than the standard prices.

As ever, nice to find out about these things from here rather than from ATG, I feel so valued as a paid up member.

I also received nothing from ATG about this sale Here's a strange one I came across while browsing the sale offers. 9 to 5 is at Oxford next month. A "senior midweek matinee" offer is available for the evening 19.30 performances on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 January , there's no offer for the actual matinee on Wednesday 19 January at 14.30. Presumably a programming error.

I had an email from ATG yesterday about the January sale (I remember seeing one for Black Friday as well), so it seems hit and miss that some members receive emails and others don't?

There’s some new offers in the January sale, trying to pick up a ticket for 9 to 5 in Oxford but it’s making me pay a transaction fee even though I’m logged into my theatrecard account. I’ve emailed customer services but I bet they’ll come back saying that tickets in the sale are not valid with our no-booking-fees benefit or some bullsh*t. ATG always finding new ways to piss me off…

At least in this strange new world, you can still count on certain things staying the same. Like ATG's website being an absolute disgrace. I was trying to buy two for one tickets to An Hour and a Half Late, despite logging in and having a TheatreCard, it was charging the admin fee. That's when you can even find the page to login of course.

Having just been on the ATG website, I have only just noticed a feature to sign into your account from the home page. I’ve taken a screenshot of it. Is this a new feature or am I being really blind and it’s been there all the time and just not noticed it?

I’ve not seen that before either. I just tried it on my iPad, clicking on it let me log in. Then I clicked manage account and it made me log in again. 🙄 And for some reason some of my orders aren’t showing in my account. So it’s an improvement, but still pretty rubbish.
