Is there some cast shortages at the moment? I know Lily Frazer & Joe Aaron Reid are on holiday this week, are other cast members ill too?

The Railway Children has just extended through January 8, 2017... I wonder if In the Heights will follow suit? I hope it does, it deserves a long run.

I'd love it to extend but the tickets are so cheap, I can't imagine they're making much money. Maybe The Railway Children helps to subsidise it. I don't know, their tickets are cheap too but there are more seats for that show.

I don't know, their tickets are cheap too but there are more seats for that show. It can't be that expensive to run though. I mean, there are barely any costume changes, the set never changes... the most expensive part, by looking at it, would be the lighting haha, which is amazing!

I suspect if ITH was in any other theatre, they would have kicked out a long time ago. I wouldn't be surprised once Google finally gets round to starting work on their new HQ, The Railway Children and the Kings Cross Theatre will close

While that is true - there is the crew call every day to change between Railway Children and In The Heights. Neither have particularly complicated sets, but the ITH one does need, effectively, to be built every day.

I'm sorry, but I really cannot take anyone seriously who is known simply as Spin.

Amazing! Thank you!! Jocasta's a busy girl, isn't she (maybe she should start learning Sunset Boulevard)?! Last Thursday when I went, they were close to not having enough cast to cover the main female roles. Someone would've had to come on with script in hand or something.

I'm very surprise they haven't given Kimmy Edwards any U/S roles. I thought she was brilliant when i saw her in both Memphis and Ghost

Jocasta on for Vanessa Vas on for Kevin Michael on for Pirogue You're really not missing that much, I thought David Bedella was awful. Loved him in Rocky Horror, but I felt he was miscast in this. Hope you enjoy the show again!

I thought David was great in the role. It's not an Olivier winning role so that's quite odd but i thought he gave a great performance and was well suited to the role.

Once I fell comfortable to go shows on my own Ill go and see this. Do you mind me asking which aspect of seeing a show on your own makes you feel a bit uncomfortable? As I'd sincerely like to encourage you to give solo theatre trips a go! There was a thread on the matter (can't remember whether it was the old board or this board) where many, many posters said how they frequently went to shows on their own - as do I!! It can really be such a relaxing, fun experience and I've never had a bad time seeing a show on my own. No waiting to find out if a friend can make the date you want to, no discussions about who can afford what, no back-and-forth about where everyone prefers to sit and no sat there worrying whether the person you're with is enjoying it or not!! More often than not you might also end up having a nice conversation with someone next to you - or if you don't fancy that, have a drink or ice-cream in the interval and have a nice read of the programme and I'm sure no one will even bat an eye lid! I hope you feel comfortable enough to give it a go very soon, I (and others on this board I'm sure) cannot recommend it enough and I look forward to hopefully hearing about your experience soon!!

Its still incredible, the dancing and lighting in particular... Phillips and Josie are on FIRE this afternoon, just brilliant! I am not the biggest fan of Lili's vocals, I much preferred Gabrielle's Nina, but Lili is good. I'm loving it even more than the first time overall though. 96, 000 and the Act I Finale still give me chills.

I thought she was the best thing in the show personally, i raved about her when i saw it and here vocals were what most people seemed to be commenting on around me and in the interval. Maybe it was an off night or it's taking it's toll on her. I've heard some clips recently and they haven't been as strong as i remembered. On the going to the theatre alone thing. I go the theatre alone all the time. Literally all the time. I don't come from a theatre loving family or group of friends so if i went with them, i;d be dragging them along and there is no point, so i simply go alone. I've never had an issue. It's actually at a point now where i feel like i wouldn't even want to go with anybody else if i had the opportunity.

Lucky you, I love Josie so much. I would like to see a different Kevin too. Jocasta's great as Vanessa. Lily's good in the role but there were other people who stood out more when I saw it both times.
