Anyone head anything about the summer and winter shows for the Chocolate Factory this year?
When are we likely to hear an announcement?

I'm hoping for a Kander and Ebb - ideally The Visit
But who can say? Lots of Sondheim that they haven't tackled yet and I'm sure Woods is wanting to be staged due to the success of the film

Dare we hope Chita would do it? I'm getting carried way at the very thought of it.

Chita would obviously be fantastic but if I do wonder about casting it a bit younger. I love Samantha Spiro but is she too young ?
Beverley Klein Betty Buckley Judi Dench Tracey Bennett or Ullman

The Rink, or The Visit. Renee Fleming, Christine Ebersole, Judi Dench, Betty Buckley.... all of that sounds like a dream come true to me.

I think if The Visit would open, it would be a fully staged show based on the Broadway version rather a re-invented production by the Menier. Wasn't there talk of bringing it to London with Chita towards the end of its Broadway run?
Ebersole is fantastic, and not to shatter any theatrequeen dreams but she's doing a show with Patti LuPone in Chicago before Broadway titled "Paint War" about the rivalry between Elisabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein composed by the Grey Gardens guys. Sounds divine.

I'm not sure anyone who actually saw The Visit would care to watch it done ever again. I certainly wouldn't .

I think it's a beautiful show that deserved a better director. Sian Phillips would be a wonderful Claire, too bad she's busy at the National.
