I'm a bit miffed that Craige is leaving after September as I've heard good things about him as Miss Trunchbull. I'm sure they'll find a worthy successor though. Whaaaaaaa??? He said in one of the interviews that he’d be playing the role from March to September 2018.

Oh I hope it’s not this September.. as I would love to see him in Scotland... Maybe he meant Sep 2019. Even tho dates are only till august Norwich. Fingers crossed it can extend and visit Aberdeen later 2019.

To be fair he's been playing the role for years- he's fantastic but I can't blame him if he wants a break!

I can see why he’s not doing the full tour however I would have loved to have seen him in the role. May have to try and squeeze in a trip somewhere to see him, anyone know of the top of their heads where the tour is heading before Craige leaves?

Sunderland Milton Keynes Birmingham
Manc starts 18 Sept so I guess that’s the point at which he might drop out.

Yeah, it just seemed overamplified and the first song or two were very hard to make out. I thought this was the same at Leicester - from the back of the circle the lyrics were unintelligible when the whole cast was singing. Sadly it was often much too quiet at other times. There were times where I really struggled to hear what was happening.
I really wanted to love this show but sadly didn't. Thankfully, most of the group I took did, so I think I just have to assume that this one is not for me.

I’ll be devastated if he does leave before Manchester, what are the chances of him playing some of Manchester? I didn’t even know mid-venue cast changes were a thing on a tour until I found out the Miss Saigon cast change is a week or so before it leaves Manc.

Not always though, evidently Yeah I’ve only ever seen it at a venue change. Interesting.

I’m surprised that I was the only one who knew Craige was leaving. If anything, I hope Rebecca and Carly will do the Edinburgh leg as I’m quite looking forward to seeing them.

If someone could post the merchandise price list that’d be great.

So I just got 8 tickets for the Cardiff run for £0.00, still in a bit of a daze! I was browsing the Millennium Centre website on my laptop and some tickets at the back of the circle with the value of £52 showed up as free for various concessions (Under 25, students, seniors) so naturally I quickly snapped up some for me and my friends. I’m confused whether this was a glitch on the website or if it’s a scheme to give free tickets for younger people to see Matilda for free. The latter is unlikely so I’m wondering is there anything the ticket office can do if it is the former?

I was initially shocked that there were so many empty seats for Edinburgh, but then I realised that it is over a year away (ATG/Ticketmaster releasing tickets stupidly early) and it's a monstrous 3,000 seat theatre.
It will probably sell out on the Saturdays, or be like Wicked where they have to auction off the single seats and standing room at £15 a pop.

Ultimately it'll be up to the producers. Thanks for the tip though, I got some too!

Thank you for saying about the Cardiff glitch. Have passed it on to friends and as of 14.27 on 29/5/18 there are STILL some free tickets early on in the run of Matilda. Absolutely bargain ;-)

Just be careful with entering card numbers. The theatre/ticket agency could find out and charge you full price!

Just be careful with entering card numbers. The theatre/ticket agency could find out and charge you full price! They can't just take money from your card if they've made the mistake...
